[All the teams are ushered to their own tables, secluded somewhere in the depths of the garden. There's a pot of tea (because of course there is), a bowl of fresh-picked fruit, and a messy stack of blank papers and pencils. In the very center of the table is another piece of paper, this one with a very simple set of instructions written across the top.]
• As a team, create a list of story elements. This list must include:
-A setting -A hero -A villain -An object -A one-sentence quote
• General elements are usually better than overly-specific ones. No gaming the system! (Yeah, I'm looking at you, smartass.)
• That's it.
• So get goin' already!!
[OOC: You have 1 hour (7 PST/10 EST) to submit your list.]
[The paper with your list suddenly rolls up and disappears in a tiny puff of smoke. After a moment, another paper appears and drops on the table in its place, unrolling itself helpfully to reveal a new set of instructions.]
• Write a short story using the following elements:
-The place: A chain of islands. -The hero: A young underdog female fighter who isn't particularly wise, but is very brave and compassionate. She loses early on in the tournament, but ends up saving the day in the end. -The villain: A stinky, nefarious bandit, well-known amongst all the kingdoms for his cruelty and uncouth behavior ♥ -An important item: The Chalice of Fire - The entrapped heat and light of all of the Kingdom, kept locked away by King Kold. -The line: "I won't be beaten that easily."
• Stories will be judged by the other teams on the basis of both creativity and quality.
• So if you can't be good, ya' can at least try to be weird!!
[OOC: You have until 10 PST/1 EST to submit your stories! Have fun!]
[ she twitches at the mention of Shoelace. That's... that's the one she hurt during the first game she was in. ]
Do you want to draw them on? Or... maybe yourself? [ SHE WOULD but a) who is Kong, and b) how do draw. The ocean itself is stretching it a little bit. ]
And there was a female fighter... who wanted to enter the, island tournament.... she wasn't very wise, but she was brave and kind. She thought... if she could win the tournament.... she could get the Chalice of Fire.
Far from the mainland and cities, lies a chain of islands sitting on the sparkling sea. The tropical forests are lust and colourful, brimming with life... On the smallest island, in the far corner, there was a modest house made of vine. There was a female fighter named Midori, who wanted to enter the island fighting tournment. She wasn't wise, but she was brave and smart and strong. And she wanted to win, so she could win the Chalice of Fire. It was locked away, and everyone was really cold, so even though all her friends had fur to keep them warm, it wasn't enough. She had to get it for them or they'd die.
She entered the tournament, and fought really hard. But she had an enemy! A stupid jerk, a really smelly and dirty bandit, who was really mean and nobody liked him! He was stupid! Everyone hated him! And she fought her enemy..... every time he was winning, she'd yell out, "I won't be beaten that easily!" and then, even though he got his stupid friends to fight with him, she was too strong for them. She won. And then she killed them all.
And then she and her friends were all warm, and the island was really pretty because of the fire. No one had to move.
