It mentions something about being manipulated and irrational if we form these relationships... It's possible that choosing the strength option will cause something related to that to occur, though of course we can't be sure.

But I also make my best decisions then. The ones that have helped people, saved them even. Things I might never have had the desire or courage to do without fear and love. I think... feelings... have made me a better person. That can't be wrong!

Knowing this Echo, if we went with "strength", she would probably interpret that as an invitation to challenge us.

And she mentions irrationality and manipulation as coming with these relationships... I worry that if we choose strength, something will happen that will prevent us from making intelligent decisions.
I agree with you both, but... it seems Lace and Vash think it might be a trap.
