TAKSHAKA
[ You're led through the TV into a...2-D looking world! You're in the middle of a giant-but-empty house, although don't worry! If you wander outside, you'll see that there's conveniently a huge furniture emporium next door.
You also might notice that, over to your far right, there's a counter that starts off with the words $50,000. No matter where you move, it moves accordingly so that it's always the same distance away.
While you guys are figuring all this out, Game Freak's voice can be heard from...somewhere: ]
I'm a little new to this, so let's start out with something kinda basic! Everyone likes decorating simulated houses, right? Right!

RULES.
▶ There will be 2 rounds: the designing round (from 2-4pm PST) and the showcase round (from 4-5pm PST).
▶ You have $50,000 in order to buy furniture to decorate your house, which can be spent however you wish! If you want 10 of one $5,000 item, knock yourself out, or if you want 1 $45,000 item and one $5,000 item, that's cool too.
▶ Use the pricing chart here for looking at the furniture available and how much it costs! If you'd like to see pictures of each item, I suggest using the animal crossing wiki here (or even google image search).
▶ THERE IS NO HAGGLING. You can't sleep with the owner to get a $30,000 piece for $3,000 or barter items down a few thousand; you've got to pay the sticker price for anything you buy.
▶ Also, skills are off, although this shouldn't really affect much! She just doesn't want people cheating by conjuring furniture out of thin air.
▶ There are 3 ways to win! 1. Have one of the top three HHA scores (as per my algorithm), 2. Win the crowd vote of favorite/most representative of team house, and 3. Have the most pieces of furniture from a RNG-decided set.
▶ The teams are also encouraged to make the houses their own - not only will they receive slight boosts in HHA points if they make their house "reflect" their team by her standards, but other teams are also encouraged to consider how well the house represents the team when deciding how to rank the others! So keep that in mind.
▶ If you have any questions (ic or ooc), please ask them here!
Round 1
Also, you might notice that there's an otter in a red suit skulking around outside...wonder what that's about. ]

Re: Discussion
But I guess swords don't really belong in the house after all, do they? I think--swords are more like something you chase after outside of a decent home--
