[ When you enter the TV, the room surrounding you is notably blank - appearing something like this. Which may seem odd, until words appear out of thin air in front of you: ]

Today, we're going to go through an interactive story of sorts!

You're a college student who's just transferred to a new university, and you have a week to make new friends and potentially find that ~special someone~ people always worry about having.

Luckily for you, your college has a club fair for transfer students just like you! You're headed off there to meet some of your fellow students and get a better lay of the land.

But before we begin, there's just one important thing I need to get down...who are you?

...You wake up, unusually, without an alarm ringing. Maybe it's the excitement of starting a new day of classes - or, as you realize with a quick glance to your phone, it's just because you slept through the ringing.

It's your first day at your new school, and you're already late.

Cursing under your breath, you rush to get dressed. Thankfully, classes don't start for another week - but today is more important. Today is the club fair, the chance for you to make some new friends and find a place to fit in here at the school.

You cram a bagel into your mouth, grab your keys, and head off for your first day.

The club fair is a hustling, bustling mess.

Suddenly, a girl with dyed-red hair approaches you. “Hey, Cutie,” she says with a wink. "Don't think I've seen you around here before. You must be new, huh?"

You nod.

???: "Well, let me get you oriented, then! To your left is the booth for the ballet company - that's the star dancer, Mizushima Manami, running it - and to your right is the science club's booth. Kurosawa Hayato runs that one...but he's also the only member, so you could probably get a leadership position there quick! Assuming he doesn't glare you to death, I mean."

As if on cue, the lone boy at the table shoots her a glare, to which she responds with a peace sign.

???: "Across the way is the student government table, but you probably won't want to bother with that. The student body president is a real dick—"

????: "Aah, Kiyoko-chan, are you talking about me already? Wishing I'd let you grace my bed, for once?"

A tall, slender boy approaches, exuding an air of confidence.

KIYOKO: "I still have both my pinkies, so I don't think that's happening anytime soon."

She turns back to face you.

KIYOKO: "This is Fukui Tarou, student body president and all around douchebag. Trust me, he's the last guy you want to spend time with."

Fukui turns to look at you, as if sharing a secret.

TAROU: Take my advice, new kid - you don't want to get stuck being pals with nutjobs like these. Come join the student government and hang out with a higher caliber of student.

He walks off, while "Kiyoko-chan" flips him off.

KIYOKO: ...Anyway, where was I before that asshole interrupted? Oh, yeah. And then there's my booth - the track team. I'm Takahashi Kiyoko, the girls' team captain. Come run with us sometime, yeah?

As if on cue, a girl comes running over from the booth in question, waving Takahashi over.

KIYOKO: ...Oh, looks like I've got to get back. It was nice to meet you, uh...?

You tell her your name.

KIYOKO: Yasuhiro-kun, then. Hope I'll see you around later!

She waves, and then disappears into the crowd. You decide to spend the rest of the fair wandering through the crowds of students and visiting booths, to see if there's any more information you can get.

The next day, in between buying things for classes and watching TV, you decide to go visit someone in the hopes of maybe getting a head start on that friend-thing.

Where do you choose to go?

...I don't exactly care to associate with any of them.

It would be most efficient to visit all of the, but that's not an option. People are capable of doing more then one thing a day.

Well, if it were me, then.

The student council room.

You pop into the student council room to see a bunch of students packing up - evidently, you just missed the meeting. One by one they file out past you, but Fukui stays.

TAROU: Hey...you're that guy from earlier, right? The one hanging around Kiyoko-chan? You made the right choice, coming here instead.

YASUHIRO: I hope so, at least. It looks like you guys are pretty full, though...are there even any positions available?

TAROU: Of course there are. Wouldn't recruit if there weren't, right? The secretary dropped out, so we're gonna need to find someone to fill her space.

He gives you a look.

TAROU: Of course, if there were a candidate that had my backing, they'd be practically a shoo-in.

YASUHIRO: Would you really be willing to do that for me, Fukui? I'd really appreciate that.

TAROU: Wellll....it depends. Can't just throw my support behind a wild-card candidate, you know? I've got to know where you're coming from. So tell me, what do you think is the most important quality for a politician?

> Having confidence.
> Having compassion.

...

This is hardly a decent student council.

This Yasuhiro kid needs to take over, but he doesn't seem to have the spirit.

If that's how it is...

The correct answer is all of them, but if I must choose "confidence".

YASUHIRO: It's confidence, right? You can't be a good leader unless you're confident in your actions.

TAROU: Got it in one. The longer you spend doubting your decisions, the more fuel your enemy will have in their attack. Maybe you are cut out for the political life....tell you what, meet me in the cafeteria tomorrow and we'll talk details.

You spend a little more time talking with Fukui, whom you feel a bit closer to, and then you head home.

The next day, you wake up refreshed and ready to have a good day. Maybe today you'll be able to cultivate the friendships you've started.
