I don't really want to pay taxes either, but getting in trouble for that kinda shit doesn't sound like something I want to do.

... Taxes aren't really - they don't really work like "free money".
It's a government thing. They squeeze money out of you like a lemon so they can pay for official shit, like buildings or roads.

We could get in deep debt if we don't pay them.

Higher chance of getting sick, nowhere to store food. Dangerous as hell living conditions.

Clothing and medicine are what's expendable. I don't even know why they're listed as "necessities".
