TIAMAT

[There is a desk in the room in Tiamat magenta. On it are several sheets of paper, a pencil, eraser and a book on Freshwater Lakes. It seems the area you have been given in the game is a Freshwater Lake.

What kind of trap will you design?]

... I don't think I want to play with traps.
fuhrinkaed: (Huh?)

Then... what if we like, made it a delicious cake?

Or a buffet of food so delicious that the people there won't want to leave?

Oh! Like, delicious, magical, ultra-tasty sleep inducing food.

Right? It's just like eating a full meal on Thanksgiving or something. You fall right over and want to go fast asleep.

...Maybe we should make it a Thanksgiving spread, with like, turkey and stuff?

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] showbooty 2014-07-12 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
What's Thanksgiving?
fuhrinkaed: (That IS definitely a problem)

A traditional holiday where people eat turkey, pumpkin pie, yams or sweet potatoes, corn, green beans, casseroles, cranberry sauce, biscuits, turkey stuffing, and a bunch of other delicious stuff.

Even without magic, eating a full Thanksgiving dinner'll make you tired. [Nodnod.]

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] showbooty 2014-07-12 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
... But they know they'll have to run afterwards, so who would be dumb enough to have a huge meal right before exercise?
fuhrinkaed: (Is that so..?)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] fuhrinkaed 2014-07-12 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
Well...it's less about a trap and more about giving someone something they'd like.

But, if it comes to it, everybody eats a lot whenever someone has these games. Plus, after Nafuna's last game I'm betting someone's going to be paranoid.

[She flinches a bit when he mentions Nafuna's last game, especially in the context of food.]

I... guess so.

O-oh. Sorry, I uh...

Right. I didn't mean it like that.

Team Tiamat
Area Given: Freshwater Lake
Trap Description: There's a long, inviting table near the lake with a large amount of food on it. There's turkey, two kinds of pie (pumpkin and pecan), stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, cranberry sauce, yams, and any other thanksgivingy food you can think of.
Trap Function: The food is super delicious. And also is enchanted to cause severe fatigue, drowsiness, and sleep to people who decide to eat some. It's slow enough to take effect to let someone have a full meal, if they want.

[is currently standing on one leg (the one that was broken the day before), just to make sure it has regained its former strength. also rotating his formerly broken arm, and hey! he has two ears again!]

We could make them obstacles instead of traps.

Don't worry about it. It's a good idea.

What, d'you think I'll fall break my arm and leg again?

I was thinking it might not have fully healed. That seems like the kind of asshole move that thing would pull, right?

Re: DISCUSSION

[snort]

Probably. But it feels like it's back to normal. Even if it weren't, when you break something you've gotta exercise it to rebuild its strength again.

Re: DISCUSSION

There is a difference between exercising something and standing back handsprings.

Is there?

[he says a bit cheekily]

I dunno, I don't see much of a difference!

Oh..! Thanks.

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] fuhrinkaed 2014-07-12 07:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Or food. I like the idea of letting everyone have one big nice meal.

And, if any of us decides we don't feel like playing, we can have one too.
carptricks: (isn't never quite enough)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] carptricks 2014-07-12 07:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[do you have your arm back, Ed]

Works for me! S'not much of an obstacle, but I guess it'll do.
fuhrinkaed: (Sounds delish!)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] fuhrinkaed 2014-07-12 07:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[I do.]

After that last game, and with all the running around we'll probably be doing?

I'm sure someone'll want a snack.
carptricks: (Breathe)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] carptricks 2014-07-12 07:50 pm (UTC)(link)
[hooraaaaay]

A snack that looks innocent at first, but in reality knocks 'em out for the rest of the game?
fuhrinkaed: (That IS definitely a problem)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] fuhrinkaed 2014-07-12 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm thinking super drowsiness, and then sleeping.

You know, like you get after a normally big meal only supercharged.
carptricks: (and began)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] carptricks 2014-07-12 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[grins widely]

Perfect.

It's not the kind of trap I'd come up with, but it'll work for what we wanna do.
fuhrinkaed: (Sounds delish!)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] fuhrinkaed 2014-07-12 07:54 pm (UTC)(link)
[HUGE GRIN.]

Right? It's a way to make everyone happy while doing what we want to do.
carptricks: (into the velvet sky)

Re: DISCUSSION

[personal profile] carptricks 2014-07-12 07:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Then let's go for it. There isn't much point in talking about it anymore if we're set.
fuhrinkaed: (Leave it to me!)
