DAWON

[ Once you enter the train, it takes off...moving for only a few moments before coming to a stop in the midst of the void Delriza's realm floats in.

There's still no sign of the echo herself, but fortunately it's at this point that the rules of the game burn themselves into your mind, like you always knew what you were supposed to be coming here for. ]

Well, first we should decide whether to play any cards or wait. I would rather wait. What do you think?

[ how to save your girlfriend huh ]

[ that doesn't sound suspicious or anything ]

Could we not go on foot through the most dangerous part of the forest, off of the path?

I agree. There is no point in using them just yet.

Or, it does say that the rogues target the most frequently traveled roads... Why not pick another route?

Is there a reason we have to go through the forest? They do not stretch forever. We could simply go around the forest.

And if our magician specializes in explosion magic, perhaps we could have him enchant a carriage to send through the woods without any passengers. When they attack it, it could explode and injure them.

Though it would be a shame to lose a horse, I suppose, and if they specialize in ranged combat it would have to be a powerful spell indeed to reach them.

Rogues that target the most frequently traveled roads are dumbasses. Go around.
deadrising: (don't pull that with me)

Better a horse than your trusted associates. I'm sure that someone who specializes in explosive magic could manage a rather...large explosion. But we have to be careful -- the forest will catch. We could all burn.

[ thinking... ]

But if we left earlier than the time we had originally planned, in secret and in disguise, we could fool them. Then send the carriage at the appointed time, and we should be well out of the way should the fire cause a disaster.

They seem rather low class, don't they? I thought rogues had better sense than this.

I'm offended at how stupid they are.

They're giving you a bad name. You should go teach them how it's done.

Ah, I hadn't considered the possibility of fire. That's true enough.

Perhaps we could go through ourselves, but instruct the warriors to go through after the explosion. Then they could deal with the rogues while they're still injured from the blast, and take care of any fire that's started.

That sounds like an even better plan. We should ask if we're capable of fighting, ourselves. Also, is a priestess a magical healer?

[ what sort of responsible princess can't use a sword, really ]

Later.

I'd rather punch them for thinking they can get away with being stupid.

I do not know what a priestess is, but we should be capable of fighting.

Delriza, are you able to answer our question about the priestess, and whether we can fight?

[ Oh, I have two swords and a bow, we are prepared. ]

Do that first, then. If they don't die.

[ i tell the knight to fuck herself then, this relationship is over -- I MEAN ]

Then...we should keep the priestess with us. If there is an accident, she can potentially help us.

[ SHRUG ]

What if they decide to put our actual loved ones in the place of this knight? I'd rather blow everything up than let that possibility happen.

Also...blowing things up is amusing. Do you have a preference as to who gets this point?

I agree. If the objective is to keep the knight safe, I think we should go around the forest before the explosion.
