[Lucciola's Heart]

[As you step through Castling's mirror, you end up in a large, bright and blinding white space. It's so bright that it's difficult to see anything the first few moments. Your eyes will probably hurt a lot.]

As you step through this door, the floor takes on a marble quality, making any heels click when you walk. It's unmistakable that this is just one huge chessboard. The pieces are set up for play, but some spaces lack occupants. Apparently, you need to jump into the fray and fill the spots! The door behind you locks and it doesn't seem like there’s a way out from this. On the opposite side of the board stands another adult Lucciola, posing as one of the pawn.

Perhaps we should play a game.

And somewhere outside of Lucciola's heart, back in Kyriakos, Rook's chess skill shard glistens a little. ]

A game?

[ He looks around, and then back over to Lucciola with a smile. ]

Okay!

[yeah, that's pretty much it, but with Guild pieces.

Lucciola nods slightly, and as you are only alone, the board shimmers and fills the empty spots with pieces. you get to be... guess what... a rook! you are white, he is black. he looks very intense and serious for a game of chess, though]

Let us begin.

[ Nods over at him!

And moves a pawn first. ]

[he directs the flow of the game with all the skills he's possessed from the start of Kyriakos. it's apparent this area is all tactical personality. there is no space for failure or hesitance.

but you'll probably defeat him. you have to to progress, after all. but he will not go easy on you, not once]

[ Good, because Rook never wants him to go easy on him. Or neither one of them will get better.

Which is why he doesn't hold back, either. Though along the way, what happens to the captured pieces? This will alter Rook's strategic route, depending. ]

[the captured pieces either a) give up, or b) FIGHT ~~TO THE DEATH~~. better... stay out of the fire, yeah]

[ Okay then yeah. He's going to do this moving around both himself AND Lucciola, in that case.

But he still got the WINNER SKILLS. ]

[... yeah, you do. I don't remember proper games in that way yet.

when it's clear he's losing, Lucciola simply nods slightly again]

I resign.

That was fun, wasn't it?

I've never had a match quite like that before.

It is a large board. It would be natural.

[ Looking around to see if anything changed once he won. ]

[at the edge of the board on Lucciola's side, there is a type of box! since you won, you can safely go and retrieve it maybe :|a]

[no, not really. behind the box is a table with a regular chess board. it seems it's stuck in mid play, however. white is winning]

Going over and clamping a hand on Lucciola's shoulder in here. ]

I am. But this way of getting some of what I need for that was fun! So.
