DAWON & TIAMAT

You find yourself in a grand throne room, with large, ornate thrones enough for your number to sit. Stringed puppets hang from the high ceiling, dressed and looking like the "citizens" of Ombrie. ...they're all faceless. The singular door that you walked through creaks shut at the beginning of the game.

The kingdom is in shambles. With the death of the most beloved king and your stepson not yet of crowning age, you alone must fight for the right to the throne. In your way stands your adoptive family members, who intend to take the crown for their own greed, though your stepson seems to be supporting you, as does his fiance. With the three of you working together, there's nothing that can stop you. But you must work quickly—these next few weeks are crucial to securing your kingdom.

Ed. You aren't dumb at all. If you really want to execute the uncle, I can ask the others about it too.

I did ask, but they said no because we don't have any evidence.

Which... I guess is right. [I mean anybody could have murdered us right? well not right but that wasn't even in this version of universes so I guess it doesn't count now?]

So... I guess I gathered all that information for nothing. A-and I wasted everyone's time. Again.

No, you didn't. It's important to know both what directions to explore, and which to not. It's good to know the king wasn't untoward to the princess, because that was just as possible as her being innocent, or the murderer. It was a good choice to ask her questions too, since our son might've lied on her behalf. Even if we don't have solid evidence against the uncle, we can take steps against him now and try to protect the princess as much as possible. That wouldn't have been possible without the choices you made.

I still think w-we should just deal with the obvious bad guy, though... If not, we're waiting for a dagger to the kidney.
