[Starts to walk forward, but looks up]

Massively thick, thorny vines, creeping out of the darkness, stretching towards you. Their thorns are already pricked with blood, and their roots thirst for more.

Keep moving! Pull each other along!

[looking to see that Sclera and everyone are getting along okay]

[grabbing hands and running forward!!]

[It's being pulled along that ultimately saves Sclera; a vine manages to wrap loosely around her wrist before she's tugged free. There's a faint sense of pain, but the fear of being grabbed again greatly outweighs it, and despite how exhausted she is she manages to continue running. It's kind of a relief to not have a heartbeat right now, because she's sure it'd be threatening to burst out of her chest, by now.]

You escape the first swipe of vines, but then you reach the wall- and there's nowhere else to go. They keep coming, growing and writhing and reaching for you. Before long, you're cornered.

[WHY CAN'T SHE USE HER ARTES??? CLAWING DESPERATELY AT THE VINES WITH HER HANDS]

[It's basically like Tales magic. Arietta is the equivalent of a black mage]

[And she can use artes that explode shit!!]

Then shit starts to explode.

The vines refuse to retreat, but you are seriously kicking their asses. They twist and thrash and whip out, cutting at whatever parts of you they can reach, but it isn't enough. They're only plants. They crumple to a stop, in tatters, until the room is silent and still once more.
