You step into a small airy room made entirely of porcelain and frosted glass. Squishy armchairs — the old fashioned type; pretty velvet affairs with patterns of roses in your team’s color and legs of dark wood — line the walls.

Pride of place in the center of the room is a table, upon which rests: a list of instructions; a spread of cards; and a box made out of mirrored glass with eleven slits in the top. Each slit is outlined in a team color.

Beyond the table is a huge, floor to ceiling hourglass. A certain number of blood red crystals reside at the bottom ...

I won't be part of a ruthless team!

Ruthless? This is simply the way of nature. A cornered and wounded snake strikes.

Kyriakos has proven to be less than trustworthy. I will see that all of you win as swiftly as possible and are freed of this place. And furthermore -- if the ones that I love are going to be hurt, then I am going to ensure that something is gained from it.

You are free to leave -- rather, you are free to pretend you are not part of Barghest. You can hate me, and you can abandon Orion and Saiph and Procyon, but even so...I will still protect you in this way, because you will always be family, and I will always love you.

My team back home--Shinoa, Mitsuba, Yoichi, and Kimizuki---they're as much of a family as Barghest is, and they'd never do something like this. They'd never betray me. We'd--we'd figure it out together.

That's--the kind of family I want. I don't want this. I'm not going to--stand by and let you do this. If this's the kind of person you're gonna be--you, Bella, and Meda, then 'll go be part of a team who won't hurt me like this. Who won't kill people who don't deserve it.

What a selfish child. You truly are too much like him.
