Through you speaks Kadroo, the soveriegn deity of this land (or so she says), and mother of the naga. While the lesser devas squabble amongst each other, competing for the faith of the living, the monuments and temples built to Kadroo in the past by her children ensure she does not have to participate in such frivolity.

Things have advanced quite a bit in the years since landfall -- the people of Meerut even now have electricity thanks to a group of heroes, symbolized by a statue of a garishly bright green boar in the village's plaza.
To the NORTH is the SHRINE OF THE EARTH.
To the SOUTHEAST is some jungle.
In the EAST of Meerut, there is a hut of a HEALER that you are acquainted with.

SHRINE OF LIGHT
The SHRINE OF LIGHT is dedicated to Suirya Pratyuisha, the Light of Dawn. At the center of the shrine is a gigantic glass sphere set in a marble base, and surrounding it are several mirrors.
It'd probably look beautiful if light were shining through the sphere, but the canopy is pretty thick here.
To the SOUTH is the SHRINE OF FIRE.
To the EAST is the SHRINE OF THE SKY.
To the NORTH are the CITY GATES.
To the EAST is...a LEOPARD COLONY? You think you heard that wrong. Maybe it's LEPER COLONY? Who can even really tell. You can probably try to go to either and it won't even matter, at all. They're basically the same thing.

CITY GATES
Guards stand watch at the towers, and on either side of the gates' ground level. Caravans are checked as they pass in and out.
Atop the gates is a gigantic sculpture depicting a vile green monkey, skewered on the tusks of a garish yellow-green boar. It is evidently supposed to symbolize the defeat of the rebellion three years ago, which definitely happened. The rebel scum is no longer a threat, at all.
There is no war in Jambudvipa.

...The people seem much more active than normal, conferring in small groups on the street and in the buildings and casting suspicious glances around. Occasionally you catch a glimpse of badges pinned to their clothing with the image of a scorpion on it.
The streets seem to have been recently cleaned, and they speak of one called THE SWEEPER.

It looks like there was some sort of party going on -- but now the halls of the palace are eerily empty, and the way to the foyer is sealed. In the dining hall cabinets of finely-crafted porcelain dishware and sculptures line the walls, and several of the hallways feature prominent portraits of the royal family.

For Recordkeeping!
HAWK and COYOTE succeeded in gathering the forces required for revolution (naga and poor alike) and prepared for battle against the Empire bourgeois. Meanwhile, TEAM KOUHAI continued out to the camp of Takshaka allies past Landfall. There they found a team of Pokemon, which they recruited for their efforts and reunited with HAWK and COYOTE in time for an epic march on the city.
During this march, TEAM KOUHAI split off from the larger force to rescue their captured comrade, SPARROW, from enemy forces. Unfortunately, ROC was both high and dizzy will directing this effort, leading to SPARROW suffering a broken arm, a lost eye, and getting generally banged up in addition to the concussion she had already sustained. However, everyone escaped alive.
NIGHTINGALE and SAVANNAH were out treasure-hunting. They succeeded in finding the SWORD OF LIGHT, which they procured from a dragon and used to strike the ANVIL of the DEVA OF FIRE. This resulted in a portal to the realm of the gods being opened. They returned to the city to find that her teammates had done virtually the opposite of what was expected of them in her absence.
Finally, MAGPIE was instrumental in ensuring the wealth needed to fund these efforts, thanks to her tireless efforts as a rock performer.
