[ Some of you might recognize yourselves in the common room of the Gulgallana dorms, although that may not be immediately obvious, even to those of you who’ve been there before. The light is low and coming from a few torches lit around the room. The ones still going are guttering. ]

[ The titan is opening his mouth, ready to blow steam over both of them. ]

[ pausing, but still looking hard at the titan and speaks to it ]

Do you want to hurt me?

[ After a moment the titan closes its mouth. Instead both of its massive hands grab onto the bars of the cage and start to shake them. Hard. Like it could rip the bars right out of the wall. ]

Do you want to hurt me or do you want to protect me?!

[ It manages to get one of the bars loose and slams it into the ground next to Liter. That hand starts working on the next bar so he can get a hole big enough to get out of. ]

No, no no no no, this is bad!

[ Cross is going to the wall to get one of the halberds there. ]

What happens if he gets out?

[ not moving but getting into a position to jump towards the weapons should the need arise ]

going to the weapon wall then to grab something ]

[ The titan has another bar off his cage and now he's starting to wiggle through. ]

[ Cross is attacking it with his halberd, stabbing it in the arm. ]

[ grabbing a weapon and working with him to push the arm back! ]

[ The titan is still struggling to get out. And then it speaks. ]

Reiner... you need me.

[ not stopping but looking between them ]

[ Cross is still trying to hold it back. ]

[ it'll be hypocritical of him to say something about how he needs to accept his titan and that he can't keep it away

so he's not

he's going to help him push it back ]

[ The titan isn't really fighting back at all. Just trying to push his way out. ]

It it wasn't for me, he would be dead.

[ Cross crumbles to the ground, no longer fighting the titan, just letting it do what it wants now. ]

[ The titan picks Liter up, holding him high enough to look at eye to eye. ]

I make him strong. I keep him alive. I am his heart beat and his foot steps. Will you kill me?

[ quietly: ] No matter how I feel about you, I could never kill you...

[ and now shouting ] Even if I hate you and me and everything about us from that life, I could never kill you!

[ The titan sets Liter down again and picks up Cross. Cross doesn't even flinch as the titan opens his mouth and swallows him. ]
