Amalthea will be taking the sharpened stakes and lengths of vine, given to them by the tree. The vines will be braided together for support, then each end will be tied to a stake. One stake will be thrown across the river's length, tested for stability if/when it hits the ground on the other side, before planting the other stake on their own side of the river.

If that's successful, they'll be attempting to shimmy over across the vines to the other side, one at a time, bracing the stakes for the others when possible.

Please note that we will be using our scouting information from the op of the tree to do this at the best point on the riverbank for such a maneuver.

[It takes several tedious tries to get the weighted vines all the way across and stable, but eventually you manage it, and you get across to the path on the other side with minimum pain, although you get sprayed with river water on your way across. Hope you don't mind getting wet.]
