VANARA + AMALTHEA

You arrive at your table to find that the noises around you are a bit muffled, however, you can always step out from behind the table and talk smack, if you wish.

In front of you are top quality cooking items, any bowls or machines you could wish for, to create the ultimate culinary masterpiece.

There is also a closed basket. And a big, red button.

[Not going to object to that... he's still holding a grudge over the jello lake.]

Uhh, maybe we should just use the leafy stuff for decoration...

So it's meat-- maybe we can mix it with the asparagus for something. With a scoop of the icecream on the side? And then decorate it with the leaves around them both.

How edible is your meal? ... 6?
How nicely is your meal plated? ...8?
Did you use all of the ingredients in the basket? Yes

BLURB: An artful stir-fry of camel meat and asparagus, juice from the latter accentuating the meat's taste. A tiny scoop of the fishy lox ice cream to enhance the flavor of the stir-fry, and for the spicy lovers out there, wasabi greens that blend with the stir-fry to give it a kick.

PRESS THE BUTTON?: No.

...Maybe if we cooked most of it together and put the, uh, risotto stuff? Off to the side...

[the question is how to make any of this look fancy. artful usage of leaves again??]

The cabbage leaves might be big enough to make a sort of wrap with the bass? Or multiple small wraps. I guess we can use the caul fat for that, too, maybe. It'd add some flavor to the cabbage itself. That should taste good, right?

Hmm ♥

The fish could be wrapped in the fat and then cooked together with the cabbage in a stew to be served in a bowl over the risotto, perhaps ♥ But we have never had such fare and know not how sweet this rice may be ♥

Edibility: 8?
Plating: 7.5? (there's really only so much you can do with stew, but they... tried to work it?)
All ingredients used: yes!

Blurb: The black bass is first cleaned, deskinned, deboned, then the meat tenderized, and then worked into balls. The balls of fish are then wrapped in the fat caul to create meatballs. The cabbage is chopped into long strips. The fish and cabbage are then cooked in a dark-broth stew.

Meanwhile, the raspberry lavender risotto is worked into a "well," and once the stew has finished simmering, the liquid is poured inside; exactly four fish meatballs are arranged inside of the well in each plate.

Edibility: 8-9 If eaten seperately and with enough time to cleanse one's pallet before trying the second item. Otherwise probably pretty freakin' gross, like. A 4 or sumth.
Plating: 8? ish? IDK
All the ingredients used?: Yes!

Blurb: The hamburgers buns are lightly toasted until golden brown and crisp to create a "cracker" like texture on which the aged cheddar cheese is served; the heat slightly melts the cheese, which is carefully cut into cute heart shapes. The cheese and buns combo is paired with a sweet, white, wine.

Meanwhile, the apples are cored, carefully sliced, and peeled, before drizzled with the vanilla frosting, which has been carefully melted, creating a complex combination of bitter and sweet flavors.

The "cheese and crackers" and apple slices are served in rings on the plate, alternating between apple and "cracker", growing smaller; at the very center of the dish, a small container with the remaining vanilla frosting waits to be used as a dip.
