GULGALLANA

These dressing rooms are simple, but comfortable! A large, circular couch curls around a table, atop of which you find a bowl of fruit. There's a water cooler in one corner, and in the other there is a small, private booth.

Should you check out the booth, you'll find nothing inside except for a comfortable armchair. Oh, and it's completely soundproof. Completely.

Well, this is surprisingly generous of the echo.

Now then, two questions. Now, how do we want to play this?

To win, preferably. Having no memories is getting rather tiresome.

And the current situation is that according to the metrics of the game, it depends entirely on people asking us questions and us answering them publicly.

If we're really trying to win, we would probably need to ask very personal questions or questions that they'll refuse to answer for one reason or another.

Alternatively, we can try to avoid giving other teams opportunities to score points by refusing to offer any questions in the first place. It's unusual for a competition to just let us pass a turn, but it seems like an option this time for some reason.

The rules do state that we can offer zero questions … on the other hand, the kinds of questions we ask could be a part of the scoring mechanic, as well.

In which case the questions would probably be rewarded by the amount of in-depth discussion they can give...

[Sigh...]

Well, for starters, let's go with something that would at least be a little insightful, and ask the echoes how they would have set Kyriakos up if they were in the Queen's position.

[ Flops down onto the couch, lounging with his arms folded loosely across his chest. ]

I'm afraid I'll have to follow your lead on this one, little lady. [ It's hard to know what counts as personal when you have so little experience. ] But that sounds like a good start to me.

Well, either way, there doesn't seem to be anyone I actually know here, so if you're curious about anyone here, you might as well ask a question.

Unfortunately, I've yet to meet many people outside of our own team. Ah—save for the cute young lady on Epona, who calls herself by the name Captain.

It does seem we can ask teams as a whole if we wish, instead of targeting individuals ... that has potential.

SUBMISSION

[personal profile] debate_avenger 2015-10-30 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
1: Echoes: If you were in charge of Kyriakos, how would you run it? Explore this however you feel appropriate!
2: Tiamat: What problems does your team have, and how do you think you can improve your team's teamwork?
3: Henwen: Describe the most foolproof trap you can think of, then describe how to bypass said trap.
debate_avenger: (This is the way it should be)

[Well, I'm the only one here, so...]

I'll answer them all in public.

[And just in case I have to say the answers now...]

The kinds of competitions I like are ones where you have to think. Does anyone remember the one where we had to run a farm and decide the best way to run it? And we could go for either growing plants, making money, or digging up lots of fossils? We lost that one, but it was lots of fun, trying to predict what everyone else would go for, and find the best option. Nafuna's games early on were a lot like that, too: You weren't directly competing with people, but how well you did depended on how you thought about your situation. I think we only managed to win two of Nafuna's competitions but, I'm pretty confident we were at least just short of winning.

On the other hand, if you mean games in general... I'm fond of simulation and strategy games, personally. Things that let you enjoy planning, putting your plans to work, and seeing how they turn out. It helps keep your mind sharp.

As for who I admire... Of course nobody's going to be surprised if I say Yumika. I could probably talk for hours about all the things I admire about her, so I'll try to keep it limited to just a few things. Most of all, I admire her kindness. Someone said that the surest test of character is what you do once you've lost everything, and when she lost everything she was trying for... She sang. She reached out to other people to protect them and help fight in a war that nobody believed we had any chance of winning.... And she turned it around. She managed to save billions of lives by herself. And in spite of that, she never left any of us behind, even someone who was useless like me. She let me stay with her, even when she could have left me behind at any time.
