What do they do?

My guess is that they're hostile.

[Duh, Liter.]

I mean... how are they hostile?

Pretty sure we kill people.

[...OH WAIT OOPS.

But he's still smiling. Even while he. Reaches behind him for something.]

--That's pretty hostile.

[ crouching a bit, getting ready to jump as quick as he can ]

Well, you know, it's a job.

[definitely coming at him with a knife]

[ good thing i was trained on how to handle being attacked by a knife

he's going to move to the side and try and hit him in the stomach with the stick ]

[He's fast on his feet enough to MOSTLY avoid that so it's not a solid blow. Though it does slow him down for a second.

Swiping at Liter with the knife!]

[ and he's dropping the stick so he can try to get that knife out of his hands, but still getting a cut for that effort ]

unnnnfortunately he's managing to keep the knife out of Liter's hands for the time being. He'll also take a swipe at them, but luckily he misses.]

[ GONNA TRY TO TACKLE HIM THEN ]

he definitely tries to stab Liter on the way down but misses again!]

[ and using his hand to try and hold that knife hand down and against the ground ]

[Nnnnope not yet.

Okay, THIS time he manages slice his hand a little.]

[ he's gritting his teeth, but he's going to try it again ]

[Yes, good job!

The guy's eyes widen a little and he switches to...trying to get away.

Also, that knife feels WEIRD, in that as soon as Liter is holding it, he'll feel a certain amount of anger. It doesn't affect him to the point of being overwhelming, however. It feels more like it's the object's than his.]

[ he's going to let the guy get away

more focused on staring at the knife ]

[it appears to be a very angry knife]

but he's going to hold onto the knife and keep walking into the jungle ]

[The whispering's still there, but at least there doesn't....appear to be anyone else.

Also! eventually if he wanders far enough he......ends up finding himself walking back towards the beach. Hearts! They're just crazy!]
