quail heart
You're plunged into a deep, deep darkness. A horrible smell of burning fills your nostrils and you hear the crackling of fire from somewhere closeby. Smoke starts pouring into your lungs, making it impossible to breathe...
Just as it feels like you're about to pass out from lack of air, it's all gone. The darkness, the smell, the sound, the smoke. You find yourself standing in a small room, though something about you feels very different from normal.
[OOC: While your character is inside this heart, they will be in the form of a Hatoful-style uplifted bird! What species they are is up to you; they'll be about three times the size of normal birds that species, perfectly capable of talking, and able to use their wings both for (somewhat limited) flying and as (slightly clumsier than human) hands. You're still wearing your normal clothes, though they are now cut in a style suited for birds.

Re: Home
Nageki. The most adorable of Gryphon's brothers.
[After a moment, he tugs Mr. Bird over to check out the Vanara pictures. He's absolutely nosy enough to touch them. ALL OF THEM. Okay, well, all of the GM game era ones, at least.]
Re: Home
You get your greasy little
fingersfeathers all over the photos!Arachne's picture gives you feelings of warm affection and respect and protectiveness with just a hint of worry.
Cerberus' picture gives you feelings of intense protectiveness and fondness, but also sadness and guilt.
Redcap's picture gives you faint feelings of protectiveness and concern mixed in with sadness.
Sphinx's picture gives you feelings of friendship and trust with a hint of sadness.
Your own picture gives you strong feelings of protectiveness and affection, but also confusion and worry.
Behind your own picture, you find a small silver key.
Re: Home
Good to know bird dad loves him. Clearly, those pictures are the ones that really matter, so he doesn't bother with the others and just grabs the key. Does it seem like there are any doors or other things that it could be used on in here?]
Re: Home
Re: Home
Pocketing the key to go with the pistol, before he turns back to mystery bird.]
Let's keep moving along. Which door do you think we ought to try next?
Re: Home
Re: Home
...assuming it isn't locked.]
Re: Home
Re: Home
Re: Home
It's hard to tell what material the door's made of. It definitely looks silvery, but it doesn't quite feel like actual metal.
Re: Home
Can he check how many bullets are in the pistol, if any?]
Re: Home
It's loaded with a single bullet.
Re: Home
Well, anyway, time to move on to the brown door.]
Re: Home
The brown door doesn't have a lock on it, but as you approach it you notice that it's giving off a strange heat. Almost as if something's burning behind it.
Re: Home
Can he open it and peek inside without actually going in? After testing the knob with the back of his hand to make sure it isn't too hot to touch, of course.]
Re: Home
You open the door to a wall of flames: the entire room beyond is on fire.
Re: Home
Looks at mystery bird.]
I don't suppose you want to go in there?
[let's. uh. examine the couch instead.]
Re: Home
The couch is incredibly soft and cozy. It feels like a good place to sit and spend time with loved ones... or just to nap.
Napping would be a great idea.
Re: Home
Chimera shakes his head and tears his eyes off of the couch.]
Well, then let's go elsewhere and see if we can figure out what's making it be something it shouldn't.
[Can they go all the way back to the other door in the infirmary without any issues...]
Re: Home
You pass through the other door.
