I don't want you and Mint to have to go through this like this if there's another way and you'd rather not have him do it. I know she won't let us avoid what needs to happen ... but I'm not just going to do nothing if there's even a chance it's possible.

... and if it's possible, it at least gives you two some kind of choice. It at least gives all of us some kind of choice.
