AMALTHEA

[When the game starts you find yourselves on a platform. At least this part is pretty relaxing as it's large enough to fit a table with six (or seven) chairs around and that may be the place you want to sit at for now. There's several pieces of parchment laying on the table and a box in the center.

Of course, if you were careful you might want to pay attention to what's before you. Because immediately after the platform is a slide that ends in a pit of water? That turns into a dark forest. In what looks like a mile across is another large platform, presumably the end. Though that's all you can see right now.]

[Thinking for a moment.]

Versatile and multi-purpose items should be our priority.

Our greatest competitors... Tch. I wonder what effect that will have.

The grappling hook will work as a rope and have some of the use that a sword would, depending on how strong it is. And if there's something it can reach, it can potentially take the place of a parachute, too. But that's only if there's something close enough if we were falling somewhere.

A grappling hook, the parachute, and a tree could also make a tent. Those two items are excellent options. For the third, I would recommend the torch.

I do not want to risk procuring one in the field, and it can be used defensively in the event of an animal attack.

Can you trust those you're with?
I must not voice a great number of my thoughts with the others around. Save Tart, I cannot trust any of them with anything beyond pleasantries. They are trustworthy enough to not sabotage us during the games, however.

Who is the person you dislike the most within your team?
Rook.

What do you think makes up your team?
Individuals with varied talents, all capable of dealing in specialized areas in order to succeed as a coherent unit. Unfortunately, we are nothing beyond that.

I wonder what we'd need a tent for... a shield would double up as a mirror, too. But only if it's not wooden.

1) For the most part. It depends on what we're talking about or what we need ... but still. We want to able to help each other as much as we can, and I want to help other people while we do that, too. So it's good to do my best to trust them enough to not betray that. As long as that's there, that's important.

2) It's hard to talk to Belt, but ... I don't want to not like people I should trust.

3) We all want similar ends, to help people and to help each other to do that. We can all also do different things that helps for different games.

...I suppose I shall defer the item choices to you, regardless.

Anything should be a boon... though I would like having a torch, just in case.

Well, a shield could also help us dig ... if we need to do that. And it'd be a gamble as to what kind of shield we get as to it seconding as something with a reflective surface like a mirror. Without knowing what's in there, it's hard to choose.

But a torch is definitely a good idea to take, too.

Who is your biggest competitors?
Ratatotskr.

What three items would you like?
Shield, Grappling Hook, Torch.

[ checking the shield and grappling hook to see how heavy they are at first, and then turning to Belt. ]

One of us should hold on to either one of these, just in case. So neither of us lack offense and defense. The torch seems light enough.

I suppose so...

[THINKING...]

Regarding our path, I am torn between our obvious answers. We could use the hook to climb the mountain, or the shield to check the path ahead of us for mud as we walk the field.

...I do not believe crossing directly would be wise.

Re: DISCUSSION

I think I have pretty good aim, so I can hold into the hook if we need to hit or grab onto something.

[ offering her the shield. ]

I agree, though I wonder how hard it'd be to get to the other side. The hook could help with crossing directly depending on its distance and if we can latch onto something on the other side when we're close enough...

The shield would help with testing how hard or soft the mud is. If it seems like it's too much and too far spread out and uncrossable, we could always double back and try the cliffs.
goodbyenurse: (I wonder...)

Then, for the moment, we use the shield to avoid the mud and carry forward.

Agreed?

We could set the other chariots on fire prior to getting into our own.
