You are on a spaceship.
Most of your time will be spent on the bridge, which is exactly as fancy as you’d expect it to be — it looks a little like this. (The chairs are super comfortable!) Your brand new artificial intelligence — which, if you investigate, you’ll find is housed in a small computer chip — has been implanted into the computer terminal on the back wall. The diagnostics readout displayed along the bottom of the screen tells you that the AI has only been outfitted with the most basic of Stability Cores, and is currently Critically Unstable.

ROUND 1
A small number of ships — yours included — have been selected to take part in a competitive military research project. You lucky devils! The government has given you a brand new AI of your very own, complete with a basic Stability Core and a generous grant of 1000 credits. The only downside is that … well, one SC of that calibre might not be enough to sustain the AI for long.

RESULTS
You spend the rest of your money on a giant space party. The entire starship is converted into a fabulously colorful disco, and while nobody from the government has time to attend, plenty of crooks and criminals from the black market do! They steal all of your chairs, and kidnap half of your crew. Your poor, unstable AI successfully disguises itself as a fancy computer calculator, which saves it from being stolen — unfortunately, it gets stuck in this form.

I'm going to go VISIT THE GOVERNMENT WITH CALCULATOR AND CAT IN TOW because they couldn't make it, so I should bring my ~party~ self to them! Hooray!
RESULTS
You march straight up to the nearest government building, cat and calculator in tow. Unfortunately, without any plan of attack, when you arrive the security guards simply toss you out of the building right onto your backside. Ouch! That ego!

First you gotta sell those extra scrap parts since I don't know what to do with them! And then I guess I'm just going to have to try and convince those qt security guards, righty?
A little charm doesn't huuuuurt, does it? Maybe if I'm ♥~n~i~c~e~♥ to them, they'll be ♥~n~i~c~e~♥ to me? Charming these qt guards to let lil ol' me in. I have ~admission fees~ and ~my cutie face~ after all!
RESULTS
Your charms are super effective and work p e r f e c t l y. The guards invite you into the government building and even offer to give you the grand tour! They shower you with gifts, which include high-quality bottles of wine, fancy cheese and sausage platters, and a white fluffy cat with long, soft fur. Oh, and they also give you 1 high quality core.
You schmooze with the colonies leader who is equally as charmed by you as the guards are. He invites you to become his right hand man in governing the core-trade within the colonies. Score! You've got yourself some connections.
In addition, you receive a message from the Cats (also known as the S.S. Estelle): the AI are being experimented on. People are splitting them in an attempt to make more. AI are like humans — nothing good comes from attempting to split them, and such experiments should be stopped.

It burns to ash. There is mass chaos in the streets, people yelling "conspiracy, conspiracy!" at the top of their lungs. Stores are looted. Cars are set on fire. The government is in an uproar and nobody knows what to do about the panic.
Fortunately for you, you return home to your ship safe and sound and with quite a few fancy gifts.!
You send your message to the S.S. Estelle with ease, and since the government is currently in disarray, nobody is monitoring your communications with them. Thus, nobody realizes you're talking with the rebels. You live out the rest of your days in luxury and happiness.
