[Well, she's been on fire a couple times in the last few days. Lapis just... walks right into the fire after whatever it is.]

[As you reach into the fire, there's a surge of panic and fear. For some reason, though, it's muted and far away. The reason for that soon becomes clear as you pull the item out; it’s a first aid kit. Just holding it reminds you that you have enough support to make it through this. If you need help, the people who care about you won’t let you suffer alone. You might die or be hurt numerous more times, and that’s never going to be easier to accept…

But in the end, you have people who are willing to try to patch up your wounds of all sorts. That may not be enough to prevent all of the pain you’re feeling, but it might just be enough to make it out of this place in one piece in the end.

As you take the first aid kit, the room starts fading into a new area…]

[Lapis clings to the first aid kit, catching her breath as everything changes.]

... You did it?

Yes. I, uh, think I did.

... Thank you. I was kind of... panicking, here.

Do not worry. It is likely good that we were paired. You know her better than I, and I am able to get through things that most people panic over.

[Lapis smiles a bit.]

So we will be fine, and so will she.

When you put it like that...

[She offers a weak smile for a moment.]

... I hope so. I will kill Nyssa myself before I let anything happen to Natalie.

I am usually against murder, but in this case, I would make an exception. She has controlled a number of people I am close to... including the strongest person I know who is my closest friend.

[There's a very dark look in her eyes for a moment.]

I am very liable to take a swing at her when I get the chance, as unadvised as it might be.

... Every encounter with her we've had, I've been taking notes. I've learned. I still don't have a way around her reflection yet, but when we're out of here, I'll tell you what I know.

Excellent. Thank you. I do not have as much knowledge, but I might be able to come up with something if I see everything you have.

Usually I solve murders, but I dare say I could reverse engineer one this once.

[Lapis looks very angry for a moment.]

... Well, once we figure out how to kill Echoes, I have a list, anyway. So these things will never happen to her again.

[Lapis nods. She's probably not too far down for too much murder, but for now, Nyssa just needs to go. This is awful.]

For now, though, we need to get Natalie out of here.
