[When the game starts you find yourselves on a platform. At least this part is pretty relaxing as it's large enough to fit a table with six (or seven) chairs around and that may be the place you want to sit at for now. There's several pieces of parchment laying on the table and a box in the center.

Of course, if you were careful you might want to pay attention to what's before you. Because immediately after the platform is a slide that ends in a pit of water? That turns into a dark forest. In what looks like a mile across is another large platform, presumably the end. Though that's all you can see right now.]

Even so, it's an item we know will be useful, as opposed to only potentially being so.

It doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the items, true...perhaps it has some secret use? Such as luring away a guard dog, or the like.

Not that that sounds like a typical obstacle course task, of course.
