Or, maybe not. Either way, this isn't the story you'd like to create, anyway? What is that story?

Wow, wow, wow! How hilarious!

This one doesn't know if she can improve your story, but she'll try! Here you go!

A. Professor REX POWER falls in love, but his love interest dies at the end.
B. The sportscar explodes, because fire is DANGEROUS!!! and everyone dies! Except REX POWER!
C. MAYBE.......TRICLOPS WAS THE HERO ALL ALONG?

...No. No thanks.

B is out. And A is boring. But C... C we could work with.

Maybe both Rex and Triclops have good intentions but don't realize that there's a third, really bad party pitting them against each other.

Hmm, if they were both well intentioned but extreme in their methods, they could have been fighting for the same goal all along.

Perhaps there's a great catastrophe that's going to wipe out all humans and only dinosaurs will survive. A reverse comet situation. Like a disease? Maybe that's why Triclops was fighting so hard to change everyone into dinosaur monsters.

Yeah. And Rex could not know that the disease is coming, so he just thinks he's doing it to be a jerk.

But at the end of the big climactic battle they talk about it and he finds out, and they combine their resources to find a cure for the disease! With both of them working together, and with how smart they are, surely they can come up with it!

They could use their friends! Super spy Rhonda Raptor could discover the secret that Triclops was working to all along, if she was undercover she could have been growing closer to him. But before she can report back the real villain attacks her, and it's a race against time to escape and warn her friends before they destroy each other. His nerdy sidekick can help engineer a cure as well, they can all work together to save the day.

Yeah, yeah! I like this!

Yeah. I feel like we could work with C, though, if we put in a third dinosaur who's the real bad guy.

Oh, good idea! Rex, Rhonda, Utah and Chip can team up to beat the real bad guy.

I can't vouch for that, that sounds kinda messed up.

And that leaves the door open for spinoffs...

Why not? Heroes who walk away from explosions are cool.

Everyone else dying makes it way less cool. We're supposed to be telling a happy story.
