[There's a surprising amount of space under the trunk between those roots. There's more roots that come down to keep the tree grounded, but beyond it being super dark, right out the gate you can't see all too much beyond the roots. Some more that have maybe hand room to reach in and feel for anything.]
[The first one you try you wind up sticking your hand into mud. Blech. Thick mud, too. The wolf is standing around, watching still, seeming to want to make sure nothing happens to you down there.
KIND OF...
PARENTALLY?
If you talk the wolf won't respond, though. Not verbally.]
[Fair enough but it's not like he even intentionally does this shit
There's a few others that have some mud, one has some acorns and things like what a squirrel would collect, though. Of course, digging in there is a bit of a challenge. Is it truly worth it?]
[So very very true. And after probably making your arm sore reaching into that hole specifically enough to see if you can find anything, you'll find that there... IS...
Well, if there's nothing else to examine in there, Chimera will clean his poor arm off at the stump's expense and stand up. Let's go check under those stairs instead.]
[There's cobwebs under the stairs, things propped against the wall, some things heavier than others. To get behind there you can't even squeeze. You've gotta move what's there before anything]
You see your prize just out of reach. Yuuuuuup. Once things are moved, you've gotta stretch to get that, but there's a sphere if you go through with it.]
[I could be mean and say you don't reach. But you've worked this hard for it. Hand in mud. All that good stuff. So you successfully get it. Hopefully not getting too many splinters or anything
Such a traumatic heart, right? HUH? RIGHT? #NarratorJudgment]
[A sweet, innocent twelve year old had to get his hands dirty and do heavy lifting. Definitely a trauma game.
Chimera sticks that sphere into his pouch, maybe a little less gently than he ought to. Is there anything else to see in here or can he get up and out of here?]
[Well the shard isn't ruined but somewhere there's a blond AI making a disgruntled noise.
There is nothing else to see here, though. You can stick around the bond with the wolf, or head on up and out of the cellar. It'll be the same bright white light as when you first opened the door, after all.]
