[ Suddenly, there is a weird beam of light that sweeps the room from end to end. As it sweeps across your body, your feel... strange. Like your body is quite your own. You feel a bit dizzy even.

When you can refocus again, you'll find your body really isn't your own anymore. Neither are your clothes--which have lost all their color, and may appear to belong to that of another team in terms of style?

The tables with their electronic signboards are now lit, and each display a set of two numbers--one of them matches the one now suddenly on the front of your clothing... ]

I quite rather like my bat. Though if you did, I'd have to learn the more substantial weapon first.

...well, I'm already training two teenagers how to fight better. And Aoko does use a blunt weapon.

I like my metal bat. Though I'm sure my boyfriend would prefer something more... I don't know, dangerous. Reliable.

Depends how well you can use the bat.

There's a lot of options with weapons. Plenty that are reliable. When it comes from straight danger potential, though...

That depends highly on your willingness to kill.

Such as I'm not giving a gun to anyone who hasn't at least accepted the idea they might take a life.

I don't like the idea of killing anyone. So that's definitely out of the question.

Then you want blunt weapons. Projectiles and blades take a lot of disciple and control to use and know whether or not you're going to kill your opponent in a serious fight. At least with blunt weapons, you can more easily avoid danger areas and still be able to disable them.

Something just doesn't feel right about the killing thing. So definitely with the blunt weapons. We'll go with that.

Then we need to figure out what you work best with. A bat is good for a damage weapon. It requires two hands to really swing effectively, so it's got a lot of strength about it, but it's also fairly slow, and limited in it's uses.

If you have something smaller, you could work on speed and precision. Could even get stun batons, train how to use them if what you're fighting doesn't want to go down with an electric shock. But it could also lack power for take downs if that's the case.

If you have something bigger, similar to a staff, then you have reach and it's easier to utilize for defensive maneuvers, but still flow into an attack. But it can get unwieldy if things get too narrow.

From the sound of all of that, it seems like none of those would really work. Though... maybe I should stick with more than one.

That is also possible, though it'll take longer to master both at once.

...what do you most want to achieve. In a fight?

I want to be able to defend myself so I don't get my ass kicked.

...a staff and collapsible stun baton.

A staff will keep people at a distance. If they get close, then hope they're not one of the fuckers immune to electricity.

Do we have a lot of people immune to electricity here?

I have no idea, but I would not be surprised if there wasn't at least one.
