Okay. They're fine, see? I'm okay, but this isn't about me. It's okay that it's not about me, too. It's not a bad thing to talk about yourself and your problems sometimes. You'd say the same to me, right?

[Shadow Roxy might be moving closers.]

She's not going to take you anywhere as long as you can admit that deep down, a part of you wants to go away. I promise that you'll be safe. You're stronger than just that part of you.

You've always been stronger than that for everyone else, haven't you? It's time to be that strong for yourself. I believe in you. I know you can do it. The longer you wait, the more powerful it'll be.

It's because she was born to live for everyone else.

[Robin flinches.]

Sad, isn't it? She's supposed to help others, but she ends up the last one.

That might be true, but you don't have to anymore. There isn't anything wrong with putting yourself on the same level as everyone else sometimes. If you don't take care of yourself, I don't think you can take care of anyone else as well.

Oh, she's wonderful at taking care of everyone else. That's why the other rats made her leader. It's why everyone buys she's fine even though they don't believe that of more mundane things.

But everyone being dead, yes, she's fine with that. Totes.

She doesn't know how to take care of herself. That's why we should leave.

You don't have to take care of our team if it's too much pressure, you know? Nobody will be mad at you or disappointed in you, I promise. We can help you take care of yourself, but first, you need to accept that this is a part of you. We can help you move past this. I promise.

[Roxy flinches, but glares at the Shadow.] Stop it!

Roxy, it's okay. You don't have to tell it to stop. I want to know what it has to say... I want to know how to help you. You don't have to be ashamed of it.

She's just being mean and cruel!

Just enough to make you hope, and then she does what EVERYONE ELSE DOES!

[Shadow reaches out and PUSHES Sapphire away.] Pretending to care. Saying general platitudes like it's enough.

But it's all on her. Always on her. She has to do it. Say 'we,' but it's all 'she's strong enough.' She's doing all the work.

[She falls away, but stands a moment later, ready to move back towards Robin at a moment's notice.]

...You're right. I'm sorry, I wasn't going about it the right way. There's nothing wrong with you being mad about it since it was my fault.

Robin, I promise I'll do everything I can to help you. You can rely on me whenever you need to, or even whenever you want to. Because you're my friend, and I care about you. That won't ever be a lie. You're an amazing person, and I'm glad I came here, because it means I got to meet you.

And what would you even do? How would you keep her from walking?

They need me. I can't leave, I won't leave.

[The Shadow glares at Roxy.] You told HIM it wasn't good enough for a reason. You know it won't and I know it won't. If you walk, you're done and I'm sick of you trying to convince yourself duty and responsibility and generic hero talk will make you stay.

[For a moment, they're both silent.]

We both know it's not.

Whatever I have to! Whatever it takes until I find a way to help her.

But Robin, it's okay if there's a part of you that doesn't want to have to take care of everybody anymore. There isn't anything wrong with that... You don't have to carry everyone else's worries if you have things you're struggling with too. It's okay.

[Shaking her head.] No, no, I can't leave everyone like that. I can do that, I'm fine with that!

[Sigh.] There that is again. People assume we can't deal with other problems and miss the point. Other's problems are easy. Can do others problems all day. It's our problems. Our problems that no questions or really asks about except Zelos and even he is a travesty. Helping others doesn't hurt, it's the fact they won't help US even though they know something is wrong.

You say you'll do anything, but isn't that a generic promise? It's stupid and that's why we should leave! Everyone would forget us soon enough, so why bother anymore?

...You're right. I should have paid more attention, but I promise I'll be there from now. I was being selfish, but I won't be anymore. I'll keep asking what you're feeling, and I'll make sure that you won't have to suffer alone. That's what I'll do. So, you don't have to leave everyone, because I'll be here to help you.

Hey, what if I look at all your shards with you from now on? That way I'll know what you're going through, and you won't be able to act like it doesn't matter. I can be there for you that way. You don't have to go.

[And Roxy just...slumps and sighs, looking defeated.]

Others have done that. This despair didn't come from nothing. People KNOW and they still never questioned it.

Then I'll question every single time, even if you try to seem fine!

You'll just forget. Like everyone else. Leave her behind because she's too broken to deal with.

And you should. No reason to hurt her further.
