[ As you all gather into the room, a blinding light floods the room. You're body feels like it's racing against the wind although you stand still. It stops abruptly and the light begins to fade around you.

The imagery is a starling contrast to the city in the sky. While the sky looks clear and beautiful even from here it's waves of water that crashes up between the wooden planks your on. Closer inspection will show you're on a moving island made of salvageable equipment. There's places connected by boats and wooden planks. While towards the edges they've built on with a maze of limber and cottages to make the island even larger.

The whole thing moves swiftly through the sea.

There doesn't seem to be anyone moving around, but once more you see gliders waiting for you if you really wanted... ]

Fortunately (or unfortunately) the people of this island have varying water abilities. The youngest can move it to his will and the elder man is telekinetic. It's not an easy fight at all. The fire cuts through, sometimes, burning the eldest man. The others happily run behind the house, but of course they can't really escape it. Not when lighting is in the mix. Swallow, helps, too. (Hopefully escaping all those magical bits).

It's some time, but the men go down. As they do the girl hops on one foot back and forth excitedly, clutching tightly on to Sparrow's hand. The parents, however, look more apprehensive than ever. "What did you do?" The mother whispers quietly.

[Spins her staff and plants it in the ground next to her.]

[She did not quite manage to avoid all of the magical bits and is kinda wet though because water. FIGHTING MAGIC WHEN YOU'RE NOT MAGICAL IS HARD.]

Where were they taking her? And why keep it all a secret?

[ why did you let them take your terrified daughter? she wants to add, but holds it back for the girl's sake... for now, at least. ]

That doesn't explain why no one told her what's going on. Is there some law against explaining why kids just vanish one night?

[FINAL ANSWER IS THIS:

They will keep the girl safe, and then scream and yell for people to come out and try to start a revolution to fix how messed up this is because crying kids are being taken away why aren't you doing something about that even with lethal things being on the table.

Nightingale is also willing to cause severe gratuitous harm to people if need be and if it gets violent.]

Well. You certainly try to get help, but it's just as the parents said. When the elders call for arms they join them. It's a longer fight than the last and almost impossibly so. There's not enough of you to take down an entire city of people who set their minds to it. Though, occasionally, you see someone here or there turn to the other person and whack them down. It seems like some people were listening, but still not enough.

Eventually, though, the story ends and you're back to the start.
