a wisp of light guides them forward, gleefully bobbing up and down, slowing down just enough so it doesn't lose those following it, then speeding off around the next corner as soon as they start to catch up. )

[The blue doesn't turn him off as quickly as red-- so it takes him a moment to really realize what's bring thrown at them. And only when that realization occurs does he flinch back almost instinctively, like the reflex is burned into his soul, just barely a moment in time to narrowly avoid their touch.]
