AMALTHEA

[The room you step into looks like it could be a miniature ballroom, complete with stained glass windows and vast, ornate mirrors.

Your team's column is set into one wall, easily accessible but as impregnable as ever. One of the mirrors may prove almost as interesting, if you can tear your eyes away from your trapped teammate. Through it, you are somehow able to see every other team's column and what is inside, though nothing beyond that.

The floor beneath your feet polished, patterned wood, inlaid with the pattern of a grand sundial in your team's colors. In the center of the pattern stands a pedestal, upon which sits a collection of colorful glass ornaments. It looks like there's room for other items, but there's nothing else to be found just yet . . . ]

We're in a bit of a bind at the moment, if you can't tell. But we're not gonna let Blaze die.

I knew we shouldn't have trusted them. Any of them.

Is it really about trust? They do what they want because they can get away with it. Nothing's really changed.

Yeah, but up until now everyone's been prancin' about the castle without a care in the world, because the worst they've done is make us eat sand.

Was that enough for you to believe that kind of thing was the norm? We're supposed to be regaining pieces of our worlds. That's not exactly something trivial.

No, s'not. But they sure fooled most people here by making them feel like it was, didn't they?

Apparently. I haven't spoken to many people outside our team, so I wouldn't know for sure.

I have. Takshaka is filled with pretty naive people.

I bet they're takin' this really badly.

Takshaka... Ah. Yeah. You're right. I know someone from that team too.
