AMALTHEA
[The interior of your team cabin is far warmer than the winter outside. Each cabin is outfitted with enough beds for all present, and a table laden with food. Thick, juicy meats. Fatty broths. Congealed blood sausages. The sort of food that gets you through a harsh winter. The sort of food that makes you fat and tasty.]

HOW TO PLAY
- You have your very own team voting account (
- You can use this private team post to talk with your team for the entire time you’re alive.
- Two posts will go up in the main community every day until the game is won.
DAY
- It also has a “Which team is the most suspicious?” poll. Each team gets to place one vote in this poll. The two teams with the most votes by 6pm will be facing off in the dusk execution post, and one of them will die.
- Use your special team account to vote. Who your team voted on is hidden to everyone else, so feel free to lie about your actions.
- Voting will be frozen at 6pm sharp. Failure to vote may lead to votes being randomly placed by the Yaksinis, and voting ties will be solved with coinflips.
You may notice these posts are put up with my ‘March’ journal. Don’t pay attention to that, I just needed the paid polls feature.
DUSK
- In this poll, teams will be choosing who lives and who dies. The team with the most votes will be executed by the Yaksinis. Like the “day” poll, you have to use your custom team account to vote.
- Voting is public! Everyone will be able to see which team you voted on, and vice versa.
- But if you’re one of the teams up for execution, you can’t vote. Your job is to convince people not to kill you.
- If your team is executed, you won’t be able to participate further in the game, and you’ll be sent to an afterlife post to hang out with the other dead teams until the game is over!
NIGHT
During this period, you don’t have anything to do and can just talk. However, the wolves will be picking a sheep to kill. If you turn out to be that sheep, you’ll be killed in this post and it’s off to the afterlife post with you.
OOC questions
Re: OOC questions
Will they ICly know about their daytime votes only narrowing down who is voted for later for execution?

Re: Discuss (Day - Dusk 1)
Okay, so we're obviously not wolves and have to figure out who is. I wonder if finding them both out right away means they die instead ... as much as I don't want that to happen, I'm sure they probably want us to find them so they don't have to choose to kill so many other teams. And since they have to lie or else something worse will happen, that makes this harder on them.
Thankfully since we don't have to worry about lying and covering those lies for so long, we can just try to be as truthful about everything as possible and hope for the best. That means less focus on needing to come up with the lies and putting more focus on studying and remembering all of the things the other teams say, so we can try to find holes and discrepancies as the game progresses that might point to them being the wolves.
This first voting round, though ... it's not going to be good because there's nothing to really go on save for just inklings.
Re: Discuss (Day - Dusk 1)
That leaves Dawon, Tiamat, or Epona. Dawon and Tiamat are newer teams, and I have no idea how settled they've gotten yet, or how many teams know them well enough to want to protect them. Against Epona, anyway, since I'd imagine more people would opt to protect them at the moment. So I'd suggest Epona for the sole reason that the newer teams might get voted on before the first ones that woke up. If we're looking to just protect our alliances right now, trying to spread the chances between the remaining teams is the best bet, and if we assume the new teams will get more votes, putting Epona closer to them lessens those chances for the others.
But those are just based on assumptions, so if Epona goes up, ends up being voted on and dying when they're innocent ... nngh, I hate this. Does anybody know if Dawon or Tiamat have any friendly connections yet? Ones that might end in them not being voted on at all. Depending on what the other teams would vote for, but we have alliances with five of them. ... if they're keeping that in mind, when they vote. Who knows.
[ mumble mumble and by this point he's more talking and mulling things over to himself. ]
Either way, one of those three should get our vote if only for the reason of upholding our agreements at this point in time.

For right now, at least.
[It's said matter-of-factly, but boy he sure doesn't look happy about any of this.]

So between Dawon and Epona. I don't know anybody on Dawon, and I like Epona. But when we look at it from another point of view where others might think the same thing and one of the teams we want to protect right now gets voted on more than Epona... But then say somehow in all of this first round confusion, Dawon gets overlooked entirely...
[ clenching a fist. ]
I hate having to make a choice like this. Why do we have to do this at all?

[Mutters a bit, before roughly running his hand back through his hair.]
...Don't overthink it. We're not in a position to do much, and this isn't the choice that's going to save or condemn anyone. If it means picking the lesser of two evils, well-- [Shrugging. :\]

Somebody just voted on Epona.
So maybe we should go for Dawon.

He doesn't like this anymore than you do, Rook. :')]

I'm okay. I just-- I don't want to see him hurt anymore. If it comes down to it...
[ takes in a slow breath. ]
Let's just see what happens after this whole first round.

That doesn't make this any easier.

...We don't have a choice. We can't vote for ourselves, and not voting won't change anything.
no subject
We have to hope they're really wolves since we're not-- and that we don't lose a team on our own side if they aren't.
Why did it have to be them?
no subject
[He doesn't want to think about the alternatives.]
We can't know, and we won't know... but we especially won't know if we're the ones that die. It's a gamble, but it's not one we can avoid.
And... well, I'd like to think they won't hold it against us for wanting to stay alive.
no subject
If it ends that way. We ... we still don't know if we'll be the ones to...

It's not your fault, Rook.
