The cards were changed for this round. These five are completely different from the group before them.

I am somewhat hesitant to follow your lead, if only because it did not do much to reverse the transformation. On the other hand, all these cards seem quite ambiguous in meaning, so it is a moot point anyway...

It seems ambiguous and nonsensical enough that it's unlikely to do anything outright harmful at least.

Hopefully. Since there is no reversal possible by tearing up a card, it would seem that as long as two cards are chosen, the...transformation...will be halted, or partially reversed. One hopes.

...If that's so I think I'll take one too.

Would not asking Lion to do it be a better choice for the second? Considering the relatively mild nature of his first card.

That does seem likely. It only temporally reversed the effects in the last round, but it may be able to keep the change manageable.

And I ain't trustin' this guy to actually fix things when this is done with. Least not immediately.

Of course. Even if Swoop is...insistent, I would prefer not to make someone who suffered through pain for that long to go through it again if these cards are likely to have a similar effect.
