[ You find yourself in a section of the maze walled off by hedges sporting glowing green flowers. Several tree stumps with rich velvet cushions on them surround a much larger stump, upon which lie a number of cards... ]
[ There are now sixteen cards upon the table--the same as before, minus the last one you chose. You get the feeling you'll need to proceed just as you did in the last round. ]
[when he manages to get himself to the table, he's grabbing a card at random (because they all suck anyway) and slamming it down on the table. it's The Tower!]
[ Do you have a worst memory, be it here in Kyriakos or in the world before? Sure you do. Everybody does. And as you pick up the card, you're plunged back into that memory within your mind--again, and again, and again. ]
fortunately(?), the worst he could say that's happened is the last game he was in... unfortunately, this means he gets to have his face burned off over and over and over! mentally, anyway, but he's still hissing in pain a lot out of nowhere again, grabbing at his face.
but he knows he has to endure this, and it's just face burning (ha ha), so damn if he isn't going to try putting up with it the whole time.]
[ After thirty minutes, the card dissolves into ash, and what luck! With some morehideous crunching noises, your bodies start to mend themselves about halfway, and the shape on the table empties out of about half its little wands, down to being a tenth full! ...once again, for all of two or three seconds, until the shape fills back up to twenty percent. Several of the bones of your fingers, and at least one in your arms, dry up and stiffen into useless wands. You can still manipulate them--but just barely. ]
