AMALTHEA
[ You're led through the TV into a...2-D looking world! You're in the middle of a giant-but-empty house, although don't worry! If you wander outside, you'll see that there's conveniently a huge furniture emporium next door.
You also might notice that, over to your far right, there's a counter that starts off with the words $50,000. No matter where you move, it moves accordingly so that it's always the same distance away.
While you guys are figuring all this out, Game Freak's voice can be heard from...somewhere: ]
I'm a little new to this, so let's start out with something kinda basic! Everyone likes decorating simulated houses, right? Right!

RULES.
▶ There will be 2 rounds: the designing round (from 2-4pm PST) and the showcase round (from 4-5pm PST).
▶ You have $50,000 in order to buy furniture to decorate your house, which can be spent however you wish! If you want 10 of one $5,000 item, knock yourself out, or if you want 1 $45,000 item and one $5,000 item, that's cool too.
▶ Use the pricing chart here for looking at the furniture available and how much it costs! If you'd like to see pictures of each item, I suggest using the animal crossing wiki here (or even google image search).
▶ THERE IS NO HAGGLING. You can't sleep with the owner to get a $30,000 piece for $3,000 or barter items down a few thousand; you've got to pay the sticker price for anything you buy.
▶ Also, skills are off, although this shouldn't really affect much! She just doesn't want people cheating by conjuring furniture out of thin air.
▶ There are 3 ways to win! 1. Have one of the top three HHA scores (as per my algorithm), 2. Win the crowd vote of favorite/most representative of team house, and 3. Have the most pieces of furniture from a RNG-decided set.
▶ The teams are also encouraged to make the houses their own - not only will they receive slight boosts in HHA points if they make their house "reflect" their team by her standards, but other teams are also encouraged to consider how well the house represents the team when deciding how to rank the others! So keep that in mind.
▶ If you have any questions (ic or ooc), please ask them here!
Round 1
Also, you might notice that there's an otter in a red suit skulking around outside...wonder what that's about. ]

Re: Discussion
Good day to you, sir. Might I have a moment of your time?

Re: Discussion
Re: Discussion
We like to see a well put-together room. Matching furniture, colors, the whole shebang. Completing an entire matching set or series of furniture will, of course, up your score as well. We have also been instructed to consider how well the house reflects your team.
And, as a piece of advice....please do not take my mistress's cue on organizing. Messy rooms are not attractive.
Re: Discussion
Am I allowed to use the materials which I have on me in order to assist in making the colors match? For instance, using my scarf to drape over something.
Re: Discussion
However, others will also be choosing a favorite house, and they are asked to evaluate how the house reflects the team as well. So perhaps using that perception would work then.
As for your scarf...each item has a base color, but I suppose if you draped a scarf over a chair I could count it as the color of your scarf.
Re: Discussion
One final question: are you a fan of haunted houses?
Re: Discussion
Re: Discussion
Re: Discussion
For scoring, haunted house itself is not scored higher than another type of house. However, depending on what points you rack up in doing so, it could be rewarding. Does that make sense?
Re: Discussion
Is the use of blood specifically disallowed? I have an overabundance and am willing to use it to aid in the effect.
Re: Discussion
Miss, our points are assigned based on the furniture you utilize. I cannot give bonus points for bloodstains or the like.
Re: Discussion
Thank you very much for your time. I promise that I shall make everything come together as flawlessly as I am able. I do look forward to your patronage in the future.

Good day, I have just finished setting up our home for this game.
[Also her scarf is missing and she's wearing a collar underneath apparently.]

[...Huh, a collar 8|a]
Re: Discussion
They wanted it to reflect ourselves. I thought 'haunted house hospital' would be a proper theme.

At any rate, Ometotchtli shall be dead last. I promised I would crush her today.
Re: Discussion
Re: Discussion
The more thought was put into it and the better it is, the lower they should probably be. This will average the scores overall and increase our chances. Though, to be honest, it is largely guessing outside of the glaringly dull.
