[You are ushered out of the parlor and into a cozy sitting room. The storm continues to rage outside, but a roaring fire keeps the room nice and toasty.

As you enter, you find your clothes have changed to something vaguely 1940s Noir-ish and appropriate to your character. You all look very dapper, though you may be surprised to suddenly find yourself cross-dressing. At the same time, knowledge suddenly enters your mind- the role you will be playing in tonight's performance, information on some of your fellow guests, and the rules of the game, as well as the setup for the story.]

[The notebook page is a forty year old love letter that Phil gave to Dee on their wedding. It's very sweet and sincere. Don't you feel weird reading this out loud? It's your parents, ew.]

[The will states that all of Phil's shares in his company are to be liquidated and turned over to various charities. Phil's personal accounts are to be split evenly between his children. Layne gets to keep the car and some jewelry.]

Everyone who was called here had a chance to inherit. Nobody knew what was on that paper until you found it except maybe Layne. Everyone had motive. If this will goes through controlling interest of the company will be out of Mortis's hands unless he can get the money to buy all the shares. Inalie and Phil haven't spoken in decades, but he decides to show up now? And...and. Um. I don't really even know Marvin, he's not a fan favorite of Phil's. It's weird for him to be here too. Layne might have known she was getting barely anything; Phil's her only support I think. This would leave her mostly destitute. Angela's the only one I wouldn't suspect, being uh...your darling and all.

And that is true. Anyone could have inherited. Either people had something to gain, or would be mad, either way. Or could be, rather.

But we're gonna try something. Reading the will aloud and see whose surprised or not.

I haven't read it. It's her letter and I haven't been able to find her yet. Though I'd hope she'd marry me for more than money.

Angela has the same soft heart as Phil, so she should be able to make Roger understand. And also would she please hurry up and marry Fin already? Stop lying to yourself, girl, you two are perfect together.]
