EPONA + RATATOSKR + TIAMAT + JACK PANTHER

[You are ushered out of the parlor and into a cozy sitting room. The storm continues to rage outside, but a roaring fire keeps the room nice and toasty.

As you enter, you find your clothes have changed to something vaguely 1940s Noir-ish and appropriate to your character. You all look very dapper, though you may be surprised to suddenly find yourself cross-dressing. At the same time, knowledge suddenly enters your mind- the role you will be playing in tonight's performance, information on some of your fellow guests, and the rules of the game, as well as the setup for the story.
]

[RULES:
THIS IS A MURDER MYSTERY GAME! Investigate your surroundings, speak to your fellow guests, and solve the mystery! Points will be given for completing goals and appropriate IC roleplaying.

You can make private, friends-locked posts to other players for secret discussions, but you MUST include [personal profile] squeakofthedevil on the filter and drop a link here!]

NOTE: In this group, the parts of Kira Graves and Tod Mises are unclaimed. ICly, Kira will have been unable to attend due to both of her children being ill. Tod simply refused the invitation because he thinks his dad is a jerk.

[h. . . hff]

[walking out of the room. . . .]

[when he gets to "delilah", sighing a bit]

I'm sorry, I didn't find anything in his room.

That's fine. It sounds like he didn't leave the office. I guess he was going to sleep in there, what a workaholic. So, I'm putting together a timeline. Can you tell me where you went and what you did from last night up until we were all waiting for Phil?

Let's see. . . uhm. . . I came here later in the evening, past dinner . . . [or so mr. butler said]

And since my husband was working, I'd been in my room the entire time. . . ?

U-uhm. . .

Well. . .

I'm, uhm. Actually terrible at housework. They wouldn't like me around them.

So you just hang out in your room when Phil's busy? That sounds sad. He is-- ..I mean, was. A workaholic.

I, well. . . uhm, I've been here for only two years. . . and to be honest, I don't know much about business. I don't think I would understand anything he was talking about - but I do spend time with him, when he's not working.

He's dedicated to his work, but - [p. pauses??] That's. . . something I like about him?

No, I don't really know him at all. . . I've only been in this household for two years, so I'm not very familiar - he's my husband's business partner, isn't he. . . ?

No that's the Mortis guy. ...I think. Shouldn't you know this? Two years is a long time.

[our roles should have been reversed despite being a creature of benevolence I am actually an asshole :(]

Do you know anyone here?

I-I'm sorry, I'm not very useful. . . no. . . .

- ah, b-but I did talk to the butler. None of the servants could have done it, as their living quarters are all close and so they all have alibis.

Nope. I guess I really liked him and we were friends and he...left me a love letter. So if it wasn't me and it wasn't you. And it wouldn't be Fin or Angela...

. . . [purses his lips, looking genuinely sad and touched] Ah. . .

. . . I don't think it would be Mister Inalie; I'd talked to him before, but . . . he didn't speak to my husband for years, until now. And, well. . . .

. . if there's one thing to be gained from my husband's death, it would be money. But surely, he wouldn't leave it to someone who he hadn't spoken to in years, who he had a fallout with. . . or at least, I think Mister Inalie is the least likely to get any sort of inheritance. He and. . . Mister Marvin, I suppose?

[i don't know jack about marvin]

Yeah, that's true. We found some stuff suggesting Mortis might be mad about the will, but Roger said it wasn't him. He seemed pretty mad...
