[You are ushered out of the parlor and into a cozy sitting room. The storm continues to rage outside, but a roaring fire keeps the room nice and toasty.

As you enter, you find your clothes changed to something vaguely 1940s Noir-ish and appropriate to your character. You all look very dapper, though you may be surprised to find yourself crossdressing. At the same time, knowledge suddenly enters your mind- the role you will be playing in tonight's performance, information on some of your fellow guests, and the rules of the game, as well as the setup for the story.]

NOTE: In this group, the parts of Kira Graves, Tod Mises, and Roger Mortis are unclaimed. ICly, Kira will have been unable to attend due to both of her children being ill. Tod simply refused the invitation because he thinks his dad is a jerk. Roger had a business meeting across the country that he was unable to get out of.

[sorting through the papers and pulling out the will, then laying it out flat on the table so everyone can see it before starting to read:]

[ The will states: the car and some jewelry will go to Layne (the current wife), some money will go to charity, and the rest will go to Crim and Marvin. ]

I think we can handle that much, yeah. To be honest, it's kind of a relief he didn't give me anything. There's no meaning if I didn't earn that money myself, after all. I guess that's what father's trying to say to me, too.
