ALECTRYON + DAWON + AMALTHEA

[You are ushered out of the parlor and into a cozy sitting room. The storm continues to rage outside, but a roaring fire keeps the room nice and toasty.

As you enter, you find your clothes changed to something vaguely 1940s Noir-ish and appropriate to your character. You all look very dapper, though you may be surprised to find yourself crossdressing. At the same time, knowledge suddenly enters your mind- the role you will be playing in tonight's performance, information on some of your fellow guests, and the rules of the game, as well as the setup for the story.
]

[RULES:
THIS IS A MURDER MYSTERY GAME! Investigate your surroundings, speak to your fellow guests, and solve the mystery! Points will be given for completing goals and appropriate IC roleplaying.

You can make private, friends-locked posts to other players for secret discussions, but you MUST include [personal profile] squeakofthedevil on the filter and drop a link here!]

NOTE: In this group, the parts of Kira Graves, Tod Mises, and Roger Mortis are unclaimed. ICly, Kira will have been unable to attend due to both of her children being ill. Tod simply refused the invitation because he thinks his dad is a jerk. Roger had a business meeting across the country that he was unable to get out of.

I wouldn't be surprised if you have seen him more than his own family. Work keeps him away so very often.

But if it's what has to be done, I suppose there's no helping it.

That does not sound so bad, for a marriage. You must have a great degree of freedom with him away so often.

In a sense, I suppose. Granted, life is far more... pleasant when he's around. A wife is no good if she can't support her husband in times of need, right?

He's certainly considerate enough, though. I cannot say I'm ever in a state of want with his generosity.

You do not feel caged at all, being settled down with him? I cannot imagine it.

Caged is a very strong word.

I wouldn't have chosen marriage if I hadn't considered the ties that were bonding me, would I? I believe it is still worth it.

What makes it worth it?

The knowledge that I have such a companion at my side, of course.

[His smile doesn't quite reach his eyes.]

What about you, though? Have you found yourself caught in the gaze of a gentleman fit to be your husband?

There is one who seems singularly determined to have that honor, but I have my reservations.
