DAWON & TIAMAT

[when you insert the key and open the door, you'll find inside the room looks like the living room of a mansion - the space bends on the walls, but there is a single door that leads to another room; though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent. the room is painted baby blue and a gold-plated cradle sits in the room.

inside, a baby cries - high pitched and noisy, though immediately a nurse comes in to rock the child back to sleep.]

-

[slowly, the scene changes, fading in and out with various silent scenes—the baby sits up, trying to climb out of her cradle; a little toddler dressed prettily with expensive clothes beams pleasantly; a tantrum, thrown by the little girl who's distressed; the little girl holding a puppy, pleased as punch; then the wall becomes opaque.]

[in the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 sits on a chair, smiling at you. a golden retriever is curled up beside her.]

[this is your little girl. you couldn't help spoiling her, honestly - after all, she's a noble too, and she should like to become a princess as well. she deserves it. but you also know, with how your history's gone, she's going to have to work to get to the top. but you have faith in her - she's your girl, after all.]

She could still use more diligence. Should we prioritize that?

Yes, if we want it to catch up to the others. However, we should most likely give her free time, as she learned such a great lesson about cheating. It seems fit to reward her.

That's true.

[woops talking to garnet for a bit]

We're thinking eight diligence, four intelligence, two charms and four free time slots. How does that sound?

Yeah... I think intelligence would be a good second choice for this round.

Alright. Diligence and intelligence. Should we focus on charm at all, or take the remaining time for free time?

That depends on how many classes we're going to spend on diligence and intelligence. How're we going to split this? Eight diligence, four intelligence would leave us six, we could give her a couple of charm classes and let her have the rest as free time?

If we put six to intelligence or gave any more to diligence, I'd say to let her have the remainder as free time, instead.

Eight diligence sounds fair to me, as does four intelligence. Do you think we should give her two or three charms classes and leave the rest to free time?

I think the more free time the better, but what do you think? Will four be a bit too much?

I think four would be fine. If it's too much, we can correct it in later rounds.

I will ask Nightshade.

What do you think of the, ah, moral dilemma?

[ Punish the child, kill the other boy, keep the toy. ]

Maybe I am not qualified for this question.

[ Uh ]

We must explain to her that sometimes there are things in life that you must give away.

Yes, that's true.

[a pause to think]

What I would do is... First, thank her and tell her that I am proud of her for her honesty. Then I would explain it to her, as you have said. Try and make her understand how it would feel to have someone else mistakenly take something of hers and not give it back. Then, when she returns the toy to her classmate, perhaps give her another toy as a replacement and a reward for doing the right thing.

[ How do I children, though? ]

I'd have her try to physically return the toy. If the kid it actually belongs to doesn't want it, then fine. But without it being clear that it's alright for her to keep it... it's stealing.

One slot spent playing with the dog together, one slot spent reading to her, one slot spent watching her dance (and applauding wildly), one slot spent horseback riding with her.

Re: MORAL DILEMMA

First of all, express how proud of her they are for her honesty and integrity (complete with hugs from Lace oops). Secondly, tell her that she should give the doll back. Ask her how she would feel if someone took a toy of hers accidentally and didn't return it. Be sympathetic to the fact that she loves the toy, and comfort her if she's sad about giving it back. Then, when she gives the toy back, surprise her with a different toy as a replacement and a reward for doing the right thing.
