DAWON & TIAMAT

[when you insert the key and open the door, you'll find inside the room looks like the living room of a mansion - the space bends on the walls, but there is a single door that leads to another room; though the door is closed, you can see through it—as if it's somewhat transparent. the room is painted baby blue and a gold-plated cradle sits in the room.

inside, a baby cries - high pitched and noisy, though immediately a nurse comes in to rock the child back to sleep.]

-

[slowly, the scene changes, fading in and out with various silent scenes—the baby sits up, trying to climb out of her cradle; a little toddler dressed prettily with expensive clothes beams pleasantly; a tantrum, thrown by the little girl who's distressed; the little girl holding a puppy, pleased as punch; then the wall becomes opaque.]

[in the middle of the open doorway, a young girl the age of 10 sits on a chair, smiling at you. a golden retriever is curled up beside her.]

[this is your little girl. you couldn't help spoiling her, honestly - after all, she's a noble too, and she should like to become a princess as well. she deserves it. but you also know, with how your history's gone, she's going to have to work to get to the top. but you have faith in her - she's your girl, after all.]

Should we attempt to keep her skills even, or is there one that should be higher than the others?

[ Garnet's getting real attached to this little girl, so. ]

I think we should keep them all fairly even, but maybe keep diligence a little higher... especially considering her enjoyment of those stories.

[ Hey, maybe she doesn't want to be the actual princess! ]

Alright. Let's see, six for each area would be equal, so if we want to prioritize diligence and give her free time again...

What about seven diligence, four each of intelligence and charm, and the remaining three for free time? Or should she have more free time?

Three for free time sounds good! So do the other classes.

[ If our little girl wants to be the one to rescue Princesses, then by god will she kick ass! ]

And for free time? What should we do?

It seemed like she really enjoyed the stories, so perhaps we could do that again. We could teach her how to cook, too. What should we do for the third?

Practising with ranged weaponry? I doubt guns exist in this setting, but with bows? Hunting?

That could work. She did like hearing about rescuing other young women, after all.

[warrior princess in the making yes good]

[ Grins, this is most excellent. But then, that moral dilemma. ]

... drinking to excess. Ah, crap.

[hm]

I would... Well, first explain how alcohol, when overused, can hurt the drinker. It could be a good opportunity to tell her that most things are best when used in moderation.

Banning it outright would make her more likely to rebel and seek drink elsewhere, which would be trouble. Maybe offer her a glass on special occasions? Birthday, New Years..?

We could also try experimenting with different, non-alcoholic drinks until she finds something she likes more.

Both of those are excellent ideas. Perhaps we should explain to her how drinking heavily can have an adverse effect on others, too, so she continues to look beyond herself.

Ah, we should also tell her we're glad we can have a respectful and mature conversation about subjects like this.

Good idea.

Re: CLASSES

Seven martial arts classes, four charms classes, four math and science classes, and three slots of free time. Free time is spent reading to her (emphasizing those stories that have young women rescuing other young women), teaching her how to cook, and teaching her archery with every appropriate safety precaution taken (due to her interest in those same stories!)

They explain, calmly but firmly, that when used to excess, alcohol can have serious health effects for the user. Furthermore, they may gain a reputation for inappropriate behavior. They also explain how drinking can have an adverse effect on others, reminding her in a gentle way that she's been neglecting her tasks as of late. They tell her that they are not going to ban the substance outright, but they would greatly prefer if she tries to limit her drinking to special occasions, such as holidays. They express their gratefulness that they're able to have a mature and respectful conversation about issues such as this. Afterwards, they start to experiment with non-alcoholic beverages to help make the transition back easier on the girl, making an effort to find something she likes to drink, and tell her they're proud if she's able to stop drinking wine.
