We could say that we could fund them, but, if they went to war with our money, we would take Smooshables elsewhere, because Smooshables are not meant for violent people. Or, we can say that we will never release another Smooshable in that country, and instead, opt for sending them to our opponents.

I don't like the idea of leaving any of the soldiers without at least medical stuff. It's not punishing the government to stop the war, it's punishing the ones who will have to fight whether we help or not.
