[Maya's Heart]
[Everything goes white, almost blindingly, as you enter Eveningstar's heart.... it's so overwhelming that you forget, for a moment, what you're doing, why you're here, and details about yourself start to slip---]
[but then it all stops, abruptly, and your senses return to you]

Hold it. Which game are you referring to?
no subject
The Yaksinis game in which Epona were the wolves.

She broke the rules, knowing what would follow!

The result was still the same!

[PRESENT: Blade's profile.]
You see that 'extreme' comment? I was the one who wanted to kill the other teams. What Star did was out of an inability to cope with the idea that she would have to do that. She wanted to die rather than harm others.
[PRESENT AGAIN: Bluebird's profile]
Nearly all of these profiles mention Star's concern for others. She was a scared girl who couldn't handle the pressure, and thought that taking Epona out of the game would cause less deaths. What happened after was not her fault; she was not responsible for the actions of other teams, or the Echo, who is the real killer here.
You want to talk about Star being a murderer? Take it from a real one - she's not. Murder needs malicious intent, and there's not a malicious bone in her body.

[Anyway, the prosecutor staggers back in her bench from the force of your argument- you can see now, that it's a her]
B-But then how do you explain her sister?! She was arrested! They locked her up like a criminal! Even in her own words, that lawyer looked at her like she had done it!

Second-hand recollections of people who aren't Star. None of which proves anything, except that everyone assumed it was her. Tell me, does Star remember killing her sister? Being convicted? Our memories are incomplete puzzles, where we can't see the whole picture.
I've seen Star's memories. She loved her sister. I doubt she did anything like killing her sister.
[PRESENT: Phoenix profile. and pointing DIRECTLY AT THE PROSECUTION.]
And she has a memory of saying goodbye to this man, who thanked her for all her help. That's not the behaviour of someone looking at a girl he thinks is a criminal.

[The prosecutor, who is looking less and less blurry and more familiar, bites her lip and takes the dramatic pointing LIKE A MAN this time!!]
I.... that is.... She does remember being convicted!
[it's hard to tell because of the overwhelming amount of frills, but there's a decisive topknot at the prosecutor's bench]
no subject
But you don't remember doing it. Do you, Eveningstar.
1/2
No, I... I found her just after she was....
....But I would never! But nobody would believe me, not even--
no subject
OBJECTION!
That doesn't prove anything! She was arrested! Even if she's innocent, it just means she failed to save her sister! How is that any better?
no subject
Only someone grasping at straws would ask something that stupid. The difference between being too late to save someone and being the one to kill them is miles and miles.
You may as well say failing to step on the brakes of a car is the same as cutting them.

[Well, anyway, Eveningfrills is noticing nervous now... it seems like she's having a hard time coming up with a counter argument]
That's not... grr.....

[Con..gratulations....?]
