[Everything goes white, almost blindingly, as you enter Eveningstar's heart.... it's so overwhelming that you forget, for a moment, what you're doing, why you're here, and details about yourself start to slip---]

[but then it all stops, abruptly, and your senses return to you]

[---before the really "Poochy Fluffykins" comes barging in, holding a wooden sword that Nightshade had wielding earlier]

HOLD IT!

[He doesn't seem to know how to use it very well, but he does throw himself in between the tendril and the both of you, cutting Schooler totally free and Blade partially free before he gets impaled. In both arms.]

[ Schooler doesn't waste an opportunity at life when she's been given one. Grabbing the wooden sword with both of her hands, she charges towards her foe with it!! ]

[grandstanding]

[Blade scrabbles at the tendril still half-coiled around him, trying to tear it off himself. it's harder to catch his breath now, and his chest hurts, but once he gets it off--

it takes him that long to come up with a solution. he suddenly switches forms, and immediately uses the wolf's smaller bulk to try and spring away.]

W-Wait! Stop!

[He futilely calls out to Schooler, pushing himself to move despite... well, the shards embedded right through his arms. He leaps to the side, anyway, right on top of another tendril poised to attack Schooler as she charges in]

[Blade, on the other hand, can escape, and that tendril falls to the ground, limp]

[Schooler, on the other hand, is in range for an attack, so while she swings with a sword, the creature jerks towards her, attempting to crush her to the ground with its superior side]

[Her sword will impale a shard, but as it shatters the pieces risk hitting her]

[ That's perfectly fine by her. Running at it with a sword was only meant to distract the creature. Once she's within range and the sword's chipped enough, she turns her body to face the side coming down on her.

Bringing her hands towards the glass surface, she reinforces it like she would her body... except glass can't exactly handle that sort of stress she's putting on it. If she can put together a glass she's broken by throwing it, then she's sure she can do this much.

Mage only get in melee range for dumb bullshit tactics. ]

[grandstanding]

[Blade wheels around, heavy on his paws, and comes charging back towards the creature. it's clear he means to charge into it, or at least try it.]

[several of the shards shatter under the pressure, and the creature's wails are particularly painful to the ears when you're so close]

[It lashes around, knocking the both of you back several feet]

[And then, truly desperate....]
