The moment you step through the mirror door, you seem to - slip, as if the floor were made of wax, but when you fall there is no floor to catch you; only darkness.

You fall for some time. Eventually, it feels as if you're not falling at all - but rather, floating . . . and some time after that, it almost feels as if you have no body at all. The light from which the entrance of Canis's heart is disappears quickly, and you're left with nothing - not even your own screams, if you have any; nothing seems to leave your throat, and there's no sound at all, besides. Even the rushing of wind is gone, and your own pulse seems to fade away. . .

. . . what penetrates your consciousness next is the soft sound of music. Someway or another, you find yourself on a white platform; you're dressed in plain clothes of your team color, all items gone from your person. In front of you, four stones float; all perfectly square and identical to each other. Each have images - a sword, a staff, a bow and arrow, and a sparkling circle . . . you understand what you must do.

You decide to battle a Dawon-colored blob. It looks a little frightened of you, to be honest, but with your magic you can cut it down easily if you wanted.

[ she crouches down, smiling kindly ]

[oh so that's it. well, that doesn't seem like something he should attempt somehow, so he'll just...intercept you a moment]

Don't touch that.

[ looks up, head tilted to the side. ]

Why not? Do they attack?

[ofobedience]

[shakes his head]

Not the coloured ones, anyway. The clear ones do...but even the coloured ones harm you a little if you touch them.

[barrette]

[ looks slightly disappointed, but stands up. ]

Thanks for telling me. I don't think we've met before, I'm Yellow Sparrow.

[ofobedience]

Not officially.

[he remembers her from his first game but-- he's not going to think about that. he holds out his hand]

I'm Cepheus.

[barrette]

[ she takes his hand and smiles brightly ]

I'm glad you found me, Cepheus. It'll be way easier to go through this with someone else.

[ofobedience]

[yeah, no kidding. he laughs softly because that sentiment applies more heavily to him, he thinks]

Certainly, though I doubt I'll be much use in a fight. If you get injured, however...

[and he spreads his hands wide as if to say 'then I'm your guy']

Ah, really? That's great!

[ claps her hands twice ]

I want to try fighting one or two more of these before we try moving on, is that alright?

[well, her enthusiasm is reassuring. he nods, takes a step back]

It does seem as though that's the objective. Though be careful with the clear ones.

[barrette]

Will do.

[ picks out an Epona coloured blob and moves toward it, casting Sarcasm once she thinks she's close enough ]

You're a little too close; when you hit the blob, it wibbles, trembling before hopping at you. . . !! It'll attempt to tackle, and when it does it feels like a cold splash of water hit you right in the face!

Ouch!

[ she shakes her head and immediately tries to retaliate by smacking it with the staff ]

You hit it successfully! It wibbles again, before melting into the ground, leaving behind 1 MP potion and a few bits of gold.

PS, SPARROW's current MP is at 9, as it takes 3MP for each spell. . . . but what luck!

gonna pick the gold and the MP potion up, those could be useful. ]

[ casts Sarcasm on a blob that's further away than the last one was; lets not get splashtackled again, shall we? ]

You hit it! It loses over half its HP this time around - it feels like you've gotten stronger?

[ this is fun! if there wasn't the pressing need to hurry up and help Canis, she could fight things like this for a while...

this time she runs in close to finish the job with another hit from her trusty staff! ]

Aah, this is great! We should get a move on to another area now that we're better prepared.

When you take hold of each other's hands, you feel a sort of connection . . . if either of you are in different realms, you can call for each other, and you'll be transported there immediately. You will share EXP as well as loot, and you can even swap inventory long-distance. This is useful, right!
