[comes up with a wooden sword and gives it a few slow swings as she thinks]

Maybe....there's this group, right? Made up of all sorts, like knights and thieves and undead sorcerers, and they're on a quest to save the world.

[bloodbiter]

[a small laugh]

Knights and thieves and undead sorcerers? It sounds like quite a group.

What are they saving the world from?

[pawper]

[swings the sword again, then goes to rummage around for something to serve as a helmet]

Not forces of darkness, because I think that would hurt Nightshade's feelings. And not a dragon, because Waldemar is nice and that might hurt his feelings. What about a country of magical giants?

[bloodbiter]

Giants is fine with me. Mm, maybe a good deal of the story could deal with the group coming to trust and care for one another. And maybe... instead of killing the giants in the end, maybe they could make an effort to understand them and form an alliance.

[pawper]

That could work! But we'd need to figure out why the magical giants want to take over the world in the first place.

Maybe their land is losing magic somehow? So they're conquering their neighbors to get more.....

[bloodbiter]

[looks thoughtful]

And maybe they aren't certain that's the right thing to do, but their leader is forcing them to do so.

[pawper]

[thinking]

Yeah! Only perhaps a little more complicated? Like, their leader definitely wants it, but there's a whole council and stuff to keep a balance of power, and it's a divisive issue.

[showyouthesight]

Ah, giants are too common. How about a force that is twisting the personalities of everyone? Making them someone they're not. And the group is out to bring back the people they cared for before they do things they regret. It adds more danger and excitement because the group would also have to worry about being infected themselves. And maybe they'd even have to bring back one of their own that got changed along the way. People love surprise drama like that.

Where does the force come from? How does it affect people?

[showyouthesight]

That's the mystery the group has to find out. It could be related to one of their own or it could be something from their past.

[pawper]

What if that force is corrupting the giants, too, and that's part of why they're starting a war?

[showyouthesight]

Ah, that could work.

[showyouthesight]

Definitely! We get to make our own show!
