We don't know what's going to happen, the spending we're doing on necessities is already removing most risk, so it'd be good if we need to move ourselves quickly.


And we can always sell it later.

On that budget, we're only meeting the bare minimum required for medicine and clothing. The bare minimum isn't enough to keep us safe entirely. What good will a car do us, except to give us a couple of points towards winnin'? I don't care about that-- I care about keepin' you guys safe.

You're talkin' about "utility," but you've seen how this game works. The game isn't gonna give us a chance to put the car's utility to use. It's a waste. A useless item.

Even if we sold it, likely we could only sell it for about half of what we're payin' for it now.

Well, if we cut the car, how about..

1300 for housing, 1200 for food, 700 for medicine and 600 for clothes?

Maybe we can ask the Echo if any of the extra things will actually be of use in some way in the game? Not that I want to really speak to her. But knowing that might make things easier.

If we're stocking on food, we'll have an easy way to move it and ourselves if we need to. But that's only if that comes up, do you think she'd be able to tell us whether or not it would just be a buy for the happiness end of things? I can ask her, if that'll help.

She already stated in her rules that luxury items would go to happiness points. There's no point in askin' her anythin' like that, and it would only waste time.

We're better off sinking the funds we'd use on the car into medicine and clothing.

I still think the car could potentially be useful, but I'd also just like to.. reduce something awful happening as much as possible.

Well, I just meant happiness points on top of it being useful in another way. Since we'd still technically have it to do with as we pleased, whether it's driving it or scrapping it to sell for parts.

For now we can invest in more food or medicine or clothes instead, though, if you really don't think we should. [ Since he's not hypocritical and won't just say DEAL W/ IT after ... what happened to him. ] And when we set up our next budget, I'll ask her so we know, just in case it might actually be useful.

She said other teams had 'brilliant ideas', but that's not exactly an answer. And it depends on what we think we can do with something like a car.

But, a car is like a vanship from my world. They're used to travel and get somewhere else fast, and they have enough room in them to carry a couple of people and supplies. So a car would be good if we ended up in a round where something happened to our house or we needed to move somewhere else quickly.

Even in the case of getting robbed again, a car could keep them away from the food stores and money, in another theoretical situations. That's about all of the use I can think of off the top of my head!
