[There is a desk in the room in Ratatoskr tan. On it are several sheets of paper, a pencil, eraser and a book on Deserts. It seems the area you have been given in the game is a Desert.
[And without even waiting to hear from him, he gets right to it:]
One - how fair do the traps have to be? Two - how much area can we use? Three - are these traps going to help us, or are they going to bite us in the ass later? And four - what's your definition of "eliminated"?
Don't try and skip around like the other Echoes; give me the answers plain.
... [Staring.] No need to compare me to the other Echoes. We're hardly the same.
A trap is a trap. There's nothing fair about it. You can use as much or as little of the area you want. ...And it's up to your own discretion how the trap helps you. If it turns on you then that's your own fault. You should probably try to be creative...
Elimination is when, by the rules, you can no longer continue.
[Well... When you're best friends with Lloyd "if one sword has a power of 100, then two swords have a power of 200" Irving....]
Why don't we try something non-lethal? I know Roxy swears by this guy, but I'm not really on board with an echo who wants people to spit in a jar and talk about their failures.
Quicksand doesn't have to be lethal. Could just deposit people into a room below. But I guess you're right - I've never dealt with this guy, so I don't know what he would or wouldn't do...
[He pauses to think for a second.]
Cage? Someone trips something, and a cage pops up around them from the sand below.
[Looking over at La Torre. On the one hand... This can't be a bad game because they just had one. On the other hand it doesn't mean it has to be a nice game.]
I think we're going to need a little more information for this one. He said it's an obstacle course, but I've never heard of any obstacle course where you purposely try to take out the competition.
...Yeah. We should know if these traps are going to be the only thing we have to worry about. If we're going to have to compete with the local wildlife too I'd like to know ahead of time. ...He didn't say this trap couldn't benefit us either.
[...Pausing and looking at Ventus.]
Though that brings up the real question: are we playing to win or are we playing to survive?
How fair do these traps have to be, how much of the area do we have control over, can these traps benefit us and what his definition of eliminated is should do it.
...That sounds like some prime cheating. ...I'm so proud, heheh.
[SO PROUD. He will flip Ventus's paper over and write that down though.]
I think we'll be fine in the long run, but... We'll see. If we have to stop others from continuing though... It'd probably be best if we just made them give up somehow.
That'd work. And maybe we can hide other mini traps inside it, too. Like a drawing that if you stare at it too long it surrounds you in a cage of fire or something.
Sounds good. Once they enter the maze all the exits disappear. Just to make double sure nobody's going to come along later to bug us ♪. And then I guess we can have a third picture that drops the looker into a ballpit. Sound like a plan?
[The other teams should know his ballpit misery okay. Sharing for everyone.]
Area Given: Desert Trap Description: This desert holds the ruins of a coliseum. The sand hills are steep and the sun merciless. It's unlikely you'll cross this desert without some misfortune falling you unless you take the shortcut through the coliseum. Trap Function: The coliseum is a long corridor in the shape of a circle. Once a person enters the exit disappears. If they walk around the circle they will come across three pictures in this order going counter-clockwise: 1. SANDWORMS or sausage links with teeth, hard to tell. »Snares appear underneath your feet, grabbing you and hoisting you up to hang upside down from the ceiling. 2. THIS PICTURE »When you look at this picture a cage of fire entraps you! It's not lethal though... 3. It's triangles with squiggly lines. That's all you need to know. »When you look at this picture you fall into a ball pit. How terrible.
When you see a picture you feel the urge to stare at it! And for every person trapped in this pile of dickery all Rats get a one time protection on a physical attack!

[Looking over Ventus's shoulder at this drawing, he is a nosy parker yes]
Re: DISCUSSION
[It totally was.
... How can you even tell they're sandworms, they probably look like sausage links with teeth.]
We could always just go with a quicksand trap, I guess.
But that's so cliche.
[so are sandworms, ventus...]

I want to win.
[That's got a serious tone to it.
He's... wanted to win the past few games, but didn't bother saying so because of the others.]
Re: DISCUSSION
Then let's do this as non-violently as possible~. You want to ask him what the limits on the traps are, or should I?
Re: DISCUSSION
Anything specific I should ask?
Re: DISCUSSION
Re: DISCUSSION
Insert Ventus paraphrasing La Torre's answers here?
Except the last part:]
... He also says no one has to get hurt to be eliminated. Just stopped from continuing.
Re: DISCUSSION
[Lmao. THIS DOUCHEBAG..... He gets the feeling La Torre purposely left that part out...]
Re: DISCUSSION
Not many, probably. Hopefully someone's smart enough to ask.
[HE KIND OF... DOUBTS THAT THOUGH oops]
... We don't have to make it a fair trap though, right?
So we can say something like...
"Every time this trap is set off, Ratatoskr gets a shield from physical damage for"... I don't know.
Some length of time.
[He doesn't even know if that's allowed, but hey - never hurts to toss around ideas, right?]

Well, they don't have to get hurt... so what about a spring trap, that leaves them hanging upside down?
Even I'd give up, after a while of that.
