I suppose that could work. If there's enough brush that we can disguise the pit underneath, teams won't be able to see it coming.

We could make it a pit that's too deep to escape from, with sheer edges that don't allow for climbing, but place an elastic safety-net inside to prevent any harm from the drop...?

Area Given: Tundra
Trap Description: Hidden underneath brush and snow is a giant pitfall.
Trap Function: If an individual steps on the pitfall, they will fall down a pit. The pit is too deep to get out of, and the sides have no footholds or handholds to allow climbing. Individuals will have their falls slowed down by an elastic net that only stretches downwards, preventing anyone from using it to bounce out of the pit, and a connected windtunnel will provide further buffering from anyone who manages to become tangled up in the net. Thus, they will be unable to continue on but still be unharmed.
