OMETOTCHTLI

You find yourself alone in this barren world with only your team and your cosmic powers. Do you use them responsibly? You're a god now, so think it over. You have all the time in the world.

I am not sure this action is within my authority to take.

Don't worry about it. We'll do this shit together.
anarchydemocracy: (you ready?)

If we're applying rules, they should be encourage organization, efficiency, and safety.

[personal profile] foulhussy 2014-07-20 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
The world ain't any of those things, though.
anarchydemocracy: (just like a motor)

[personal profile] anarchydemocracy 2014-07-20 09:18 pm (UTC)(link)
This is a world we create, correct? We should be able to apply whatever rules we want, even if they do not reflect reality.

[personal profile] foulhussy 2014-07-20 09:32 pm (UTC)(link)
But it should seem like something that could actually happen, right?

Still, it might be nice to live in a world that isn't terrible. Hard to imagine there's such a thing.

I don't see anything saying that has to be true. Assuming we have total control, anything should be possible.

[personal profile] foulhussy 2014-07-20 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. I guess you're right.

Have any ideas?
anarchydemocracy: (and it doesn't hurt)

[personal profile] anarchydemocracy 2014-07-20 10:53 pm (UTC)(link)
A natural world of plenty, where all resources are abundant and replenish infinitely. In the event anything does run out, it can be synthesized by either magic or technology. In fact, it would be best for technology to be indistinguishable from magic.

In this world, there would be strife, but only ceremonially. Everyone would have a role to play to keep them busy, roles that help society advance and grow. War would exist as a way to settle disputes, as always, but loss of life would not occur.

[personal profile] foulhussy 2014-07-20 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno much about how any of that stuff works, so that sounds alright to me.

How would that be fucking possible? It sounds nice, but... can people even die at all?
anarchydemocracy: (just like a motor)

[personal profile] anarchydemocracy 2014-07-20 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Of sickness. Natural causes. But sufficiently advanced magitech should ideally be able to prevent and cure disease and extend lifespans. It should be something that society always has to work towards, however, or else things will stagnate and break apart.

[personal profile] foulhussy 2014-07-20 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
[Yeah, she's not sure what magitech really means, but it sounds reasonable.]

So people can't die of violence?

[personal profile] foulhussy 2014-07-20 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh, I guess that could work. What about animals?
anarchydemocracy: (you ready?)

[personal profile] anarchydemocracy 2014-07-20 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I have no opinion on animals. Or any other creatures.

It's a world where people have everything they need. No fighting over resources, because the earth just makes more. There's advanced technology and magic, that people are always improving, to make life easier and longer.

People can only die from old age and disease, not from violence. Wars are just for show, a way for people to settle their differences. It's more like a game, than anything. People can still kill animals for food, though.

As for that love confession shit? My grandma's cabin, outside of the Aerie. She took me in, raised me. The time I lived there... it was the only time I was really happy.

Or this one.

The flowers that grow in this world last a very long time before dying. Their fragrance wafts very far. Nobody ever gets sick from allergies or anything like that. The most beautiful type of flower is called a Lunar Tear. It's silver, and can grant people's wishes.

...The thing I love most is the Lunar Tear I wear in my hair. My grandma found it, and gave it to me.

Are all of these games like this?

Re: SUBMIT

[personal profile] foulhussy 2014-07-21 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
There are a lot of people in this world. They mostly live in small towns and villages, but they're welcoming and nice to outsiders. Nobody ever goes hungry in these towns. There's always enough to eat. People support each other. If there's somebody who has no family or friends, other people will take that person in.

People have domesticated a lot of different animals for clothes and food and shit. There are always enough animals for that stuff.

Someone I love, huh? Well I already said grandma, so I'll pick someone else. There was this kid named Emil that was like a little brother to me. I cared a lot about him. A hell of a lot.
