How can we be certain which places do have items?

The most likely places for items to be are places that send you off the track, or are in places unlikely to be checked. In the short version, that would be 2 and 7. In this long version, it's... 4 and 16, most likely.

You are certain the positioning is not randomized?

Oh, I believe it's randomized for the main path, at least. But I'm fairly certain that there will be an item at the end of the dead ends.

I suppose it is worth a try.

Let us mark Smell, once again. However, we certainly have enough adrenaline to mark both.

I'm mostly concerned about the next round, to be honest. When everything costs 30, we don't have enough for more than 5 spaces. 2 if we assume that there's a good chance of multiple traps on a space.

Yes, but if there is a trap, we will able to regain some of the adrenaline that we lost. We are doing well so far, I do not believe we need to be so conservative right now.

That's true. I suppose I'm just worried about what happens when there's more stuff to mark than we have adrenaline for.

We will be more cautious in the final round.

...Well, let's see... We have two sixth sense pings. I don't trust the one on 12 to be an item, but... We also have an ominous warning for 16.

The fact that it's even giving us an ominous warning is suspicious by itself, though. Since when did they give warnings in this...

Unfortunately, there seem to be no other guidelines for what is dangerous and what is not.
